GO BLUE!

Hey! I'm back in the fold! Sorry, for being gone so long. I've been taking some time away as the job has been quite demanding, due to this economic debacle.

Anyway, we definitely need to get the hailvictors fantasy football league back up again. This will be our 3rd annual league. Historically, we've done a live draft, and I would like to keep that tradition alive. Always, returning players get the first crack at re-joining, and if there are spots still remaining after that, then will open it up to first come first serve.

So, who's in?

The reason I started doing yahoo is that most people are registered there for whatever reason. Also, it seemed to be traditionally the easiest. But, I continued to use it because it was so simple to re-open the league and invite everyone back with just a click of a button. I agree that other sites are better, but they would require a little more administering to start up.

Right now, I'm more strapped than ever for time. My job has become quite demanding, and I need to keep my life as simple as possible. I can open the yahoo league back up. However, I would be willing to open up an ESPN league instead, if everyone is insistent about moving away from yahoo, as I'm quite familiar with their set-up and drafting process.

Also, I'm willing to hand over commish duties to anyone who is able to put in the time necessary to get it off the ground.

Talk amongst yourselves!

Yahoo has always been fine with me, but ESPN is fine also. As long as I get to play. Unfortunately, I don't have any experience at being commish.

Actually, the only real challenging aspect of being the commish, is getting the league set up, (securing the teams, setting rules, playoff system, etc) and coordination of the draft. Once that's done, it pretty much runs itself.

Are you tapping me here Todd? LOL...alright you knuckle heads, lets get a count or some input, for a yahoo league or an espn league and I'll do my best, IF no one else wants the responsibility. If anyone else wants to take on Commish, PLEASE BE MY GUEST, but I'm prepared to give it a whirl.

Ha! Definitely not "tapping" you, mgoblue! My mention of someone else taking the helm was only if everyone was insistent upon moving to another site outside of "Yahoo" or "ESPN."

It would be extremely easy for me to re-open the Yahoo league, and not very difficult for me to set up an ESPN league.

My inclination is to re-open the Yahoo league. Is that cool with everyone???

Yahoo is doing free, live scoring this year. This is a great thing.

No shit? Hadn't heard this, so are they doing away with stat tracker or do they have something new you have to buy to get all of the realtime stats?

I'm not sure if they are still charging you for some kind of upgrading or not. They call it Free Live Scoring, so maybe StatTracker does exist on some premium level. I just looked at it and it says Free Stat Tracker. Wow.

I've officially re-opened the Yahoo "sackcarr"/"Hail Victors" Fantasy Football league. It should have sent invites to previous players. The live draft will take place at 9:30 Eastern/8:30 Central on Tuesday evening Sept. 8th. Please arrive at the draft 10 minutes ahead of the scheduled time. The draft will start promptly.

Returning players get the first shot at securing a spot. However, whoever has not signed back up by Sunday will lose out. If there are openings, I will issue the league ID# and password on this thread Sunday afternoon. At that point, it will be on a first come first serve basis with new players.

Thanks,
The Commish.

Live draft in: 5 days, 6 hours, and 52 minutes.
