Don't know if you heard this yet, but in an effort to rebrand his Health Care Program in a more positive light, President Obama announced today his new Cash for Codgers program. Younger, healthier Americans are encouraged to turn in their aging parents for a tax credit of up to $4,500.
The older, infirmed parents will be given a pain pill while their healthy organs are harvested and redistributed to younger people in need of them who are deemed to still have some potential to contribute in the service of our Dear Leader.
This change comes on the heels of Obama's previous strategy of likening his Government Run Public Option for Health Care to the United States Postal Service. To quell fears that a "Public Option" would drive private insurers out of business, Obama stated private mail services entities like Federal Express and UPS were doing just fine, that it was the Post Office that has all the problems.
If the Cash For Codgers program fails to sway public opinion in Obama's favor, his next approach will be to tout the competency and stability the Public Option will assuredely provide. Rumors abound he will liken it to the airline industry.
