View Full Version : Women's hoops - a win over #8 ND

I don't know if many here follow women's hoops - personally, it's not at the top of my list, but last night I was cruising the tele and saw the last minute or so of regulation of Michigan's women playing ND, the #8 ranked team in the US.

Well, Michigan tied it up with about 4 seconds left in the game, and won in OT. Go girls go! It was nice to see the women do what the men have done already - beat a highly ranked team. I hope this bodes well for the ladies and the rest of their season.

Every win is great, a win over ND - well, it makes victory even sweeter.

Go Blue.

I posted this earlier, but yeah, it seems like they've already beaten 2 ranked teams this year, while losing to 1-2 other ranked teams. Very fair!

I was referring to the women's team. Have they beat two ranked teams as well? I know the men's team looked very good against Duke on Saturday and the win over UCLA at Madison Square Garden was great too.

So, I'm aware of the men's activity, and to see the women play well - it's just another "bonus"...

amazinblue, I was referring to women's bball too. I saw the win on mgoblue, and had a look at their season; they've lost to Texas AM (#12), beat Vandy (#13), lost at Duke (#14), beat ND (#8). They have also had a few other unexpected losses to unranked. Pretty hot and cold so far, but multiple wins over ranked teams is always encouraging! Go Blue!
