My old Buddy who was transferred out of my building showed up for the xmas party yesterday and we got a chance to chat about the state of the program. He's talked to the Dufeks and the Leach's and the other program stalwarts and THOSE guys are freakin geeked about RR and are in serious support of him. (Many people don't know this, but Carr tended to discourage former players from coming back to the program.) They are saying all the right things about him and are basically pledging their support. They are more pizzed about 2007 than 2008 (hint hint).

So, my fellow fans, endeavor to perservere. If the Dufeks and Leach's of this world can, so can we!

Well, it's good to hear that there is some support for RR out there. I don't know what to say about the "carr discouraging players from staying" comment. That seems pretty unlike Lloyd. But, maybe he realized without a decent qb staying, those receivers's stocks would fall considerably. I can't blame any of those guys for leaving. I'm so pumped for 2009 already, too bad we have to wait 9 months. Man, 9 months, that's an eternity.

He's talking about former players coming back and visiting or hanging around. Not guys thinking of going pro.

How many former UM players did you see on the sidelines when Carr was there?

Both Dufeks, Donnie and Billy, live in A2 area.

Jamie Morris, ditto. Johh Wangler (owner of Big House.com) ditto.

I could go on and on.

Believe what you want. I am telling you, Carr didn't like those guys coming around.
