OSU freshman Williams arrested on shoplifting charge

BEAVERCREEK, Ohio -- Ohio State freshman defensive end Nathan Williams has been charged with shoplifting at a suburban Dayton mall.

The 19-year-old from Washington Court House was arrested Wednesday after being accused of shoplifting three shirts valued at $80 from the Macy's department store in the Mall at Fairfield Commons.

Williams said he was with a friend, and that the alarm went off as they left the store. Williams said his friend told him he had the three shirts, and Williams agreed to take the shirts and the blame. Williams said the friend has been in legal trouble before and could have gone to jail if charged with shoplifting.

If convicted of the first-degree misdemeanor, Williams could face up to six months in jail.

Damn, what is with these guys in c-bus??? Apparently as part of the recruiting process, JT needs to add these questions:

1. Have you been convicted of a felony?

2. Will you be convicted of any crime while at tuos?

I don't understand why he'd need to be stealing clothes, don't the boosters give them enough money for these kinds of things??? I'm confused.....

Anyone think there is a correlation between the number of OH recruits and the number of legal troubles on the team? I'm just saying....

Everyone deals with this. MSU has football players fighting hockey players, M has kevin Guiness Grady and others driving drunk: Kids will be kids.

agreed I don't get on any school about this. I mean these are 18-22 year olds. ANd let's be honest.....this is harsh....I know....but some of these kids come from sh*tty families and the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

Just because you don't like it isn't a reason to delete it. Move on to something else yourself, post something fresh, if you have the ability! Who the hell are you, Dick Cheney?
