Amazing how Ted Kennedy dies and nobody wants to bring up his entire past anymore.

I guess it never happened. Considering the people from the great state of Massachusetts re-elected him for four decades.

If something like that happened today I'd like to believe he wouldn't get off. Then again, Ford pardoned Nixon, so I guess it comes back to the ruling class having one set of rules, and then the rules for the rest of us.

Same with MJ a few months ago. Not a whole lot breaking down the timeline of allegations against him. Some said of MJ, "He was never convicted...." I guess that's the same as saying it never happened. It is a caveat, but juries do find people "not guilty" instead of "innocent." Nevertheless, some people just flat out did not want to bring it up.

I just could never figure out how Teddy continued to get re-elected. It's not just that the "drunk driving" incident happened, but it was the stench of coverup. If he had fessed up and faced the music before returning to public life, I probably wouldn't have any ill feelings towards Teddy. How did hekeep getting elected? Not only that, but 50,000 goons went to visit his memorial. I never wish death on anyone, but I can't say that we lost a whole lot.

The Kennedy's seemed to have a magical hold over this country, the media and especially Massachuesetts. Teddy was seen as the loveable younger brother that always screwed up but everyone always forgave him. Didn't care for him personally or most of his family.

Famous people do no wrong, just us commoners do wrong. That is why they government has to make the decisions for us.
