I think the Illini had a couple of injuries early in the game - Benn was a critical one. But, I was truly disappointed with their performance. It will be very interesting to see if / how they bounce. back.

If they don't this could be it for Zook. Good riddance.

Yes - Zook did rank FL higher than Michigan in that poll. Part of the reason, I believe, is that Zook recruited a lot of those players. He's a great recruiter - and, it's a bit ironic that Juice had his career game against Michigan last year. I can hardly wait for this season's Michigan / Illinois game - it's on Halloween. And, the abuse I took from Illinois fans last year (I live in Chicago) is something that I'm hoping to return.

How long will Zook be around? I don't know how long of a contract he has, but I believe that this season should be "the next step" - and, if yesterday was any indication - they don't have the depth they should, and the step they are taking could be backwards.
