View Full Version : Remaining 5 recruits
Looks like Michigan will have possibly 5 more commits in '09 recruiting class. Just wondering if anyone has any info from Scout, Rivals, etc on what recruits Michigan might fill out rest of class with? Campbell, Jenkins, Montgomery, Randle???

WR Not imperative because of two 2010 commits, but won't turn down great receiver
Rueben Randle - top prospect in the land - UM not in top 5
Bryce McNeal - decommit - completely up in the air between about 8 schools
Braxton Lane - Oregon, Florida and Michigan top three. Oregon leads
Dennis Thames - nothing new, probably staying down south
Willie Haulstead - still committed to FSU and still taking visits
Jamal Patterson - Stanford soft verbal. Could steal him.
JeRon Stokes - Tenn commit taking visits
TE
Dion Sims - cut his list to Michigan State, Miami and tOSU. Would like to play basketball as well in college
O-Line
Travis Bond - East Carolina, North Carolina, NC State, Wake Forrest, Maryland, Virginia Tech and Michigan
Quinton Washington - will announce at the Under Armour game, decent chance, he loved his visit. Our top OL prospect.
Chris Freeman - says UM is in his top five and will get back for an official
Brennan Williams - Looking primarily at Boston College, Duke, Michigan, Virginia and Wake Forest and his father discusses the family's relationship with Coach Jackson.
Morgan Moses - No interest in UM anymore.
DT
William Campbell - You know, 99% Blue
DE
Sam Montgomery - wanting to visit Tennessee, LSU and Michigan
Pernell McPhee - Georgia leads. JUCO
Jason Ankrah - will be deciding between Michigan, Maryland, and Nebraska after x-mas break
LB
Jelani Jenkins - UM will likely get visit. UF is probably team to beat, PSU in there as well
Frankie Telfort - down to Florida and USC
Mike Marry - the Florida schools, Stanford, Kentucky, Duke, Ole Miss, West Virginia, Michigan
Safety
Darren Myles - no updates since aug on this one. top 5 safety prospect.
CB
Mywan Jackson - UNC, UM, Louisville. No favorite.
Mike Edwards - waiting for tuos offer
ATH
Denard Robinson - visiting Michigan in Jan.

I see Campbell and Wahsington as being blue. I would love to have Jenkins come here, but I think that it's a long shot. I think that McNeal is going to go to Minn.

Jenkins would be a great get for UM. Unfortunately, he grew up liking Florida. I agree, RR would have to pull out the super concentrated snake oil for him. But, let's wait and see what happens when/if he visits. That's what happened with Washington; we were low on his list, then he visited and loved it. It was a real eye opener for him. Let's hope the same will happen for a couple other guys.
I don't really care too much for McNeal. I loved it when he was committed, but he seems too much of a prima donna. We don't need that kind of attitude here. Plus, with Jackson and Miller in the next class, we don't need another WR. Those two guys are going to be huge contributors.

The more I think about it you are right. We are set on WR's and agree with the McNeal prima donna thing. I would like to see Jenkins. He loved Barwis and wants a good education so we still have a good chance. My feeling tells me Penn State though.
