Ol Marcus Hall of Cleveland Glenville will not be coming in for a visit. Look for Michigan to get two of these three OL Travis Bond, Quinton washington and Chris Freeman. Graves is committed to Michigan, but will take a visit (Sam didn't say where). Big Will did go to Florida, but at this point, it looks like it is still Michigan. The Juco guy McPhee, is probably 50/50 with Georgia as the other team. McPhee wants to enroll early and Michigan is open to that and Georgia wants him to come in the summer. Suppose to announce this week. Sam Montgomery will be in on Jan 9, but Michigan trails LSU and North Carolina

I don't see why Hall didn't commit over the weekend. He is a lock for them.

I think that Graves stays, he is going to either Oklahoma or Oklahoma State for a visit.

I think that McPhee comes to Michigan, if the spot is still open. Georgia wants him to wait until next semester to sign with them.

I see Montgormery going to LSU.

Rockie,
You seem to be pretty damn good at analyzing Michigan's recruiting situation.

It appears to me that Tana Patrick, the Linebacker out of Alabama has the biggest up-side of all the Michigan linebacking prospects.

What do you think the chances are of him signing up to come up to Michigan?

Here's a recent quote from Tana:

"I know time is running out," Tana Patrick said. "I've really got to start thinking about this recruiting stuff fast. I'm hoping to take some visits in December and I've gotta figure out where I'm gonna go quick. Every time I think I like a few schools it changes. I think there are probably like 10 serious schools right now, but even that isn't for sure yet, so I don't want to say..."

He took an unofficial visit to Alabama this weekend....was really blown away with the visit...has yet to cut down his list...says that Bama and Auburn will both make the cut..

He's got to make some choices for visits soon. There's only like 6 weeks left before LOI day and I doubt too many prospects are going to make visits during the upcoming holidays.

Hall said that OSU rated a 10 after his visit. He was always a Buckeye lean. I hope Graves stays but I HATE when the so called "committed" guys continue to take visits. Nothing good can come from that if you are the school a guy committed to. As for McPhee, I too think it is 50/50 Michigan-UGA but if UGA insists on no early entry, I think he goes Blue. I would like to see us get another LB. Jenkins of course is the one I am refering to. I see Cam Gordon working into this position and not WR as we are already loaded there. I too think Montgomery stays in the South but I've seen stranger things happen come signing day. Look at the suprises we had last year in our favor.

They can't, the dead period is coming up. I think that it goes from 12/20 to 1/6 or something like that.

Here's where we stand so far for scholarships for next year, and how many more commits we can take. There seems to be a lot of confusion out there. Just because we can theoretically take 28 kids in a class doesn't mean we have that much room.

If anyone sees any errors, please let me know! I think it reflects all defections at this time.

Thanks Rock! I live in the North Country though and don't think we pick that up this far North. Also my boss would fire me if I got caught listening to the radio. Oh wait, I am the owner/boss! LOL:)
Thanks again for keeping us posted Rock!

What kind of business do you own BossG? If it's menial enough, perhaps you could hire a few tuos grads just to can them when they prove to be too stupid for even menial tasks.

LMAO, Not a bad idea! Have to find some way to beat them! - It is a hunting products business. We sell our own brand of unique Deer and Turkey calls, hunting DVD's, Scents, Decoy Covers, etc... Mostly to the likes of Cabela's, Gander Mountain, Bass Pro but do some direct sales on our website also. We also have a hunting TV show that is seen throughout the U.S. and Canada 3 times a week. We are still somewhat small and not a giant name in the industry but if you hunt you probably know us.

Regarding WTKA, I now see that I can get a direct live feed from their website so perhaps I will try listening later. It is killing me not to hear the Roundup!

What station does your tv show air on? I work for a finance/accounting consulting firm and one of my clients is The Outdoor Channel. I've been working on a project for them at their offices for the last 6 months and will be out here for 6-8 months of 2009 as well. They have a tv in my office which only receives The Outdoor Channel so I see a lot of their shows. My favorite is when they do the hunting dog races. Cracks me up every time I see it.

Rockie, UM just offered another DE for this class. Bennie Logan from Coushatta, LA. (http://footballrecruiting.rivals.com/viewprospect.asp?Sport=1&pr_key=86363)

3 star.
Ht: 6-foot-3
Wt: 235 lbs
Forty: 4.7 secs

Other offers from LSU, Nebraska, and UM. Looks like an "under-the-radar" guy.

Jelani Jenkins has set his next visit to PSU on Jan. 16. Hope we can get a visit from him. He said, of his UF visit, that he was blown away. UF really set the bar high.

He loved Barwis when he took his unofficial, so that might help us.

We used to air on the Outdoor Channel but are now on DirecTV's Pursuit Channel, The Sporrtsman Channel on most major cable stations and in Canada, Wild TV. I have a guy that puts on hunting dog races across the road from me. My Samoyed and yellow lab sometimes think they belong in the race and proceed to run across the road and disrupt things, much to the dismay of the organizer.

Looks like a speedster! As for Jenkins, I am hoping that he takes an official here. Florida will blow away many with their weather and sports programs but if you are in it for both sports and education, it is hard to beat that U of M degree.

Yep, let's hope we do get a visit from Jenkins. Hopefully, the fact that he likes Shafer and Barwis will help put UM up near the top of his list.

My friend Elno, you are full of pictures today. Here's one for you. I believe you have some "interesting" perspectives on the cosmos. "Live long and prosper". I am a long time Trekie but liked Next Generation best, way back when.
