He is something special for sure. I still wonder though if his great play will influence Devon Gardner's decision..

Weis is an idiot and Notre Dame is still terrible. The good news for Weis and ND is that they are only a little less terrible than last year.

Notre Dame is a pretty good team this year that will give USC a run for their money, unlike a certain other school....

Agreed. I don't think they're terrible at all, and to be honest, if their OLinemen were taught how to block (and not tackle) they'd have won, and maybe won big.

I thought Matt Millen spoke about the fact that the NCAA is "cracking down" on holding, and even went so far as to give the teams a visit by the officials discussing what they were going to call. Obviously, the NCAA has made it very clear that they're not going to allow the blocker to engage, spin, and tackle any longer. Actually, everyone thought the Nick Sheridan run that was called back was a bad call, but if you look again, it was exactly what the officials were talking about -- engaging up high, spinning the defensive player, and planting him in the turf.

So, obviously the ND OLine didn't get the message. Good for us, bad for them. But I think they have a very potent offense -- especially if Floyd and their RB remain health. Although, I thought that Clausen was a bit suspect with pressure in him and just heaved a jump ball to Floyd or GTate several times, and didn't look as "savvy" as I thought he'd look.

I hope they run the tables to be honest, as now that we beat them, it's only going to help Michigan's respect.

Go Blue!

I don't think it will influence his decision at all. Gardner has said that the coaches plan to redshirt him. If Tate stays all four years he has two years as the starter.
