This is a huge weekend for these programs. Weis gets beat by MSU, I think he is done. If Dantonio gets beat, I'm not sure if there are any consequences, but it is a definite disaster for a program that was supposed to be toward the top of the Big 10 this year to start 1-2 (and lose to C Mich).

I am pulling for Sparty - I'm so sick of Holtz and Weis and all of the apologists and talk (before last week) of an NC, I'm ready to see some misery in S. Bend this year (beyond the misery that Michigan inflicted on Saturday)!

I really think ND has an excellent offense. Those two WRs and Jimmah's got an excellent arm. I don't think MSU has a chance. Perhaps they can get pressure on Jimmah but that will lead to screen passes and a ton of yardage. I don't see MSU putting enough points on the board to win this.

Will a loss to ND have any consequences to Dumbtonio? No way. MSU is happy to have a decent coach that will win 7 to 9 games a season with the occasional win over ND/UM/OSU. Plus, Dumbtonio dominates in-state recruiting.

Agreed. MSU will get rolled. Both teams might score some points but MSU's superior ground game won't be able to keep up the scoring pace of ND's way more superior air game. I'm thinking Weis is pisssssed(!) and will look to hang as many as possible on them.

This game has actually been a reflection of last weeks game with the close back and forth scoring. The Irish are currently up 33-30 but anything can happen.

Michigan St. was looking like they had a game winning drive going, but ND just got a pick. Nice win for ND, but their defense still needs lots of work.
