One trait that the last 3 MSU coaches all share is that they can't finish games and find silly ways to lose at the end of games they should win. If this happens one more will there be a meltdown that will be replayed on the radio? Like John L. on the radio after the OSU debacle? lol

I thought last year that perhaps they had finally overcome the problem but here it still remains. I'm sure OSU would take Dumbtanio back.

I liked bobby williams the best and how michigan beat him into submission 49-3. His team completely quit on him that year. It was an MSU debacle for the ages. Nobody is better at losing than Sparty no matter who the coach is.

What does everyone think MSU's record will be?

They are @ Wisky next week, followed by us so they could easily be 1-4 with the one win being against Montana State. They then have to play @ Illinois, they host Iowa, and they host PSU. OSU is conveniently off their schedule, but i could still see them finishing with 6-7 losses when you throw in Minnesota.

Dumbtonio will soon find out why OWNING INSTATE RECRUITING doesn't mean shit.

I'm so happy Michigan State lost. That's all I heard all summer from the Detroit Free Press and tons of MSU people around here is how MSU is the new Michigan and Michigan is like MSU. They acted like Michigan football dominance never existed and that they are the football power of the state.

I called some of these MSU punks on the phone right after MSU lost to Central Michigan and Notre Dame. And you know what? They don't even answer their phones. Oh, but they would have answered their phones if Notre Dame had beaten Michigan. Then there's this punk UPS driver at work who is a huge MSU fan. He's a substitute driver who tends to get the routes that he wants. He'll come around when MSU is doing good and he'll talk his shiat. All summer long I warned him about Tate Forcier and the turnaround that RR is capable of. He didn't even know who Tate Forcier was. Guess what? I haven't seen him since college football started. These MSU people needed to be put in their place. That's why I'm so happy they're losing.

Then in Sunday's free press Drew Sharp has the nerve to write a column on the front page of the college sports page titled "Spartans show character in hard-luck defeat." I don't even want to hear that crap or any sympathy for Michigan State from anyone. A loss is a loss. Michigan was still supposed to s uck this year, remember? MSU was supposed to contend for the Big Ten Championship, remember? If Michigan had lost to Notre Dame there would have been no sympathy. This whole thing is blowing up in MSU's face and I'm loving it.

I think cousins is the best msu qb yhey have had in years but sparty is known for long meltdowns to lesser teams after dissapointing losses I epect them to lose this weekend because nd got their besr shot. I'd love to see another john l type meltdown or bobby williams. Only at state debacles and meltdown are biz as usual. Gholston can have fun losing at sparty and being a key contributor to such debacles by signing day we will have what we need.

I really hated John L. I'm pretty sure this was the same season he slapped himself too. Anyway, they were in a position to win (or at least force OT) at the end but failed to execute. How is that Dantonio's fault? Did he throw the ball? Yeah, I'm upset we lost but, everyone thought we were going to lose anyway so why is there so much animosity?

How is that Dantonio's fault? I'm not sure if it is his fault. But I do know that many MSU fans are upset with Dantonio for putting in Nichol to start the second half when Cousins drove them down the field before halftime. I'm just wondering on how you think Dantonio should handle the qb situation?

In the case of Nichols vs Cousins, I think dumbtonio needs to pick one and go with that guy. The only reason to play two quarterbacks is if they bring completely different skillsets to the game, ie Forcier with his passing and Robinson with his rocket feet.

Cousins is your guy he has a rocket for an arm I was impressed. I wouldn't blame the coaching. MSU has the most rotten luck of any team I have ever seen. Blame Dantonio if the team collapses and goes into long losing streaks like teams in the past did with John L and Williams, heck even Saban at times. Back in 97 MSU was flying high and one loss to Michigan and it was like they season was over. Season ended with an ass kicking against Washington in some bowl game with State only winning like one game after the Michigan loss. My cousin and sister are MSU alum. During football season it's got to be tough to be an MSU fan.

I do agree that Dantonio needs to pick one QB to lead the team. All this shuffling is doing is only hurting the team's development in the long run. At the beginning of the season I wanted Nichol to be the starter because he is more mobile than Cousins. But after watching them both play, I think Cousins should be the starter. The offense flows better when he is in there and the team voted him a Captain, you'd think the position would be decided by now right?

It used to be tough to be an MSU fan during football season, but its getting easier. Even when they get down in a game or lose a few in a row, they don't come out flat. They at least try to win every game there in now, or at least that's what it seems like. That's the difference between JLS and Dantonio. It is definitely easier to be a State fan during Basketball season though. But the way I see it, you have to root for all your school's teams in order to call yourself a fan. So don't expect me to jump off the bandwagon anytime soon!
