Why not? He's taking after his mentor. I remember him being in Cincinnati and I thought he was a bum then.

They knock rr for leaving wvu after 7 seasons they should look at dantonio and what a dirt bag he is for staying just two seasons and leaving after one good season to the first offer he had. If he wins with sparty he is gone.

Ok, well being a football coach is a job isn't it? Lets apply this to a real life scenario shall we? If someone offers you a promotion or a better opportunity, not to mention more money, are you going turn it down simply because you don't want to hurt anyone's feelings? This kind of thing happens all the time but in the case of big-time college sports the media likes to sell stories so they find any dirt they can or they make stuff up to ruffle feathers.

What was the quality of the recruiting classes he has been able to pull into MSU? That may have something to do with it...his recruits are not the best quality. May be hard to even teach them to tie their shoelaces!:(

I totally agree but the hypocrisy in college football is just ridiculous. When RR came here it seemed so many held that against him that he left one job for another and fact is most all coaches do that. Not sure when it became a sin for a coach to leave one school for a better job at another. If ND gets a coach they are stealing somebody else's. I wonder if that guy will be a low life dirtbag because he took the ND job. I never understood what was different about RR. If coaches stayed at their first job for life sweatervest would still be at Baldwin Wallace where he belongs. The bad thing is that your coach is alot like sweatervest. That can't help.

State has recruited quite well since Dantonio got there. In the past they did not have the roster to go toe to toe with an OSU or Michigan but now I think they have the depth to do that. Requardless of the two losses I think state has as good of chance at winning the big ten as anybody. They lack 2 tall sure handed receivers. If the receivers caught the ball more Cousins would do even better. As of last week he was the highest rated passer in the big ten. Caper looks darn good as well and the O line blocks.

Funny, if Dantonio is a bum what would you call Rich Rod? Actually, Dantonio should wear a Sweater Vest since he owns UM just like Tressel does. :)

Funny. Look back at RR's record against rivals. Looks a lot like Mr. Cooper came to Michigan.

He owns Michigan. The welcome signs on I75 and 23 now have Property of Jim Tressel and Mark Dantonio on them. :)

I'll be the first to admit that it suc ks that Michigan lost to Michigan State. But it doesn't mean near as much if Dantonio chokes against teams like Notre Dame and Central Michigan, then gets his as s kicked at Wisconsin. And he usually gets his as s kicked against teams like Ohio State and Penn State. Until he wins a Big Ten Title he hasn't done shiat. Especially this year since MSU doesn't have to play OSU.

That is great, but unfortunately a lot of their players are now property of the states of Ohio and Michigan, where they are serving or will be serving time in state or federal penitentiaries.
