Sparty,
Don't lose your head after two straight MSU like debacles. Often in the past you were flying high until the first loss then everything fell apart and by the end of the season your coach was fired. What I saw out there saturday was a darn good football team and young qb(cousins). I thought your qb has a better arm than the highly rated jimmay. Have Dantonio throw on the green sweater vest and lead you all to victory! You have one of the better teams in the conference so no last second debacles against Northwestern or Purdue this year. Get it done.

I don't think they'll just give up like they used to under John L. Smith or Bobby Williams. I thought at the start of the year we'd be a 7-5 or 8-4 team at best. I just didn't see us losing to Central Michigan. They took them lightly and they got beat by the best of the MAC because of it. CMU played really well though, I'd know, I was there. LeFevour is probably the most underrated QB ever.
As for the Notre Dame loss, I've been hearing lots of things like "They couldn't finish another one" and stuff like that. But they had a chance at the end of the game to win, Cousins just overthrew Caper in the end zone and then on the next play threw that interception. They were in a position to win but just couldn't execute on the last play. Many of you always talk about that sort of thing so I find it ironic that some of you fail to see that Dantonio did put them in a position to win.
But mistakes will happen when the majority of your offense are freshmen and sophomores. Sound familiar Michigan fans? And speaking of UM, they've been looking pretty impressive lately. Especially that game against Notre Dame. Anyway, thanks Blue in Ohio.
Oh by the way, that article by Drew Sharp made me mad too, I hate it when the media tries to sugar coat losses.

Todays performance by MSU had to be a bitter reminder of how state team usually regress after the first loss. I really thought msu was going to stomp wisconsin today. Is it something in the water in east lansing. I can only hope the regression last another week before msu gets back on track.

I don't know what's going on with this team. We're not having trouble scoring points. Cousins needs to stay in the game the whole time. All our momentum is gone the second Nichol plays. Our defense is just awful, they can't stop anyone from scoring. They need to step up or this season is only going to get worse. You're not going to win too many games when you let your opponents score over 35 points.

Sorry to see you lose again, because I am a Dantonio fan. He did well for us as a DC and we hated to see him go. You're close to being undefeated. Don't give up on the team. Dantonio won't.

Well our defense is awful too so it should be a high scoring game

I think it will be close, but I think UM sees their first lost this weekend.

I have a feeling we lose this weekend as well. Although I'll be ecstatic if I'm wrong.

I'm lumping MSU and Iowa together since they are the first road games for UM's young team. I think UM goes 1-1 over these next two. I'm not sure which is the win and which is the loss. I'd certainly prefer UM beats MSU though.

i would too, except that by the time we play Iowa we could be playing a top 10 team on the road. winning that one would go a long way as far as national respect.
hey, we could still go 6-0...
and if we beat MSU that Iowa game could be HUGE.
