I thought this quote was kinda funny! Haha
Kiffin said he put his Volunteers in the best position they could be in to beat Florida. Then he took one more shot at Meyer, who said several of his players had been hit by the flu.
Asked whether he was worried about the flu also hitting Tennessee, Kiffin said: "I don't know. I guess we'll wait and after we're not excited about a performance, we'll tell you everybody was sick."

No doubt, Kiffin has vaulted the Vols right back to the top spot in my most hated list. I didn't think anyone would be able to overtake UGA for awhile after that celebration. Nope, Kiffin in less than a year. What a prick! This guy should be working at the White House, he knows how to distort the facts and run a smear campaign. What I thought was lost in this story was the fact that Urban was ASKED a question about why his offense didn't put up big numbers. He first credited the personnel and scheme of UT, and then talked about the gameplan. Meyer admittd that he FELT like Tennessee was more concerned about shortening the game than winning it, siting as evidence "I remember looking out there and there's 10 minutes left in the game and there's no no-huddle, they are down, I think it was 23-6 and [there's no] urgency," he said. Finally, he did mention the amount of players hurt or sick on offense this week, and it's true. We will not have WR Debose (surgery) this year. We might not have WR Carl Moore (back) this year, who was really coming on at the end of last year. WR Deonte Thompson (hamstring), our #1 receiver, was out. TE Hernendez (flu), who many feel is right behind Gresham in the NFL draft, played because he is our only guy on the depth chart. Demps (flu) played but had a 102 degree fever. That's a lot to be holding back, even at Florida. Tebow was our only option in that game and we still beat them.
Initially, I wasn't so much concerned about the final score b/c I knew that if Tebow didn't fumble the ball on the 4 yard line, we would have gone up 30 -6 with 11 min left. I figure the D gets a stop (which was playing lights out at that point), and we probably put up one more for a 37-6 victory. Not as humiliating as I wanted, but Kiffin's primary goal was to shorten the game. I knew the game was going to be that way by the end of the first qtr when FL had barely started its second drive. Hence, I'm not really worried about FL because the game would have felt a lot different had Tebow not fumbled, but after these recent comments I REALLY, REALLY, REALLY wish Tebow would have held onto that damn ball. Therefore, I will be pleasantly enjoying the remaining losses that UT has coming to them this season. Right now, he's just a smug little bug, thinking he scored big by not getting blown out. Well, he's still got some pain coming to him this year in the SEC. They aren't going to win much with Crompton back there. I'm not even sure they go bowling. I think they will lose to UGA, ALA, and Miss, with additional losses possibly coming to Auburn and South Carolina. We'll see how the Vol faithful feel about their new guy after a 7-5, 6-6, or 5-7 posting. I think they fired the last guy for seasons like that.
