Congrats to James Laurinaitis and Malcom Jenkins on being named All-Americans this year. Jenkins also won the Thorpe Award which goes to the nations best defensive back.

Laurinaitis did something that has only been done once in the history of college football. He was named All American for the third time. That is something no other linebacker in the long history of Ohio State (or college football) has ever done - and there has been some great ones.

I really like J.L. he is everything you want a college football player to be. He represents the University very well, is a good role model, and I'm glad he is a Buckeye.

Almost forgot to mention that he's a devout christian as well.

Congratulations to both of those guys. They should be proud of what they have done.

I agree, these gentlemen represented the University quite well. That's hard to find now-a-days @ tUOS...

Ahh, and in the great tradition of tUOS All Americans, they will plant a couple of worthless buckeye trees in the yard and gush as 2 more tUOS players fade into obscurity in the NFL.

Rick Leach, 88th Annual Football Bust, 12/04/08: "Maybe you all had your fun and got your pound of flesh on Michigan after 33 years, but I don't care if it's Mark Dantonio, Charlie Weis and you better believe Jim Tressel, your freaking day is coming."

Uhmmm, classic case of drinking too much Wild Turkey in the pick-up before the speaking engagement.

Jim Tressel's freaking day is coming? LOL. Oh well, I can smpathize, I'd be drinking heavily too if we hadn't won a game in 5 years with at least 3 more consecutive losses on the horizon.

RR will own JT just like the SEC does. The great thing is all you OSU fans know this but won't admit it.

What makes you think RR will beat a rival? While at WV he went 4-3 against Pitt. With a lot more talent at WV than they had at Pitt. With a chance to play for the NC all they had to do is beat Pitt and they choke. RR beat up on the Little East bottom feeders with Big 10 type quality talent. Only time will tell if he can win in the Big 10 with equal talent.

I think I speak for ALL Buckeye fans when I say we are not scared in the least about RR or Michigan. He won't be there long enough for us to worry about him.

I was thinking more like Krenzel, Clarett, and Troy Smith...that variety of fading.

I would correct that statement by saying that you potentially could speak for ALL Buckey TROLLS on this website, but not the entire fan base.

Both had great college careers and should be aplauded for that. Not sure how JL will do at the next level, I wonder about his size, but we will see.

Now those two guys could step right in and help the Detroit Lions next year. We need MLB and CB help in the worst way.
I have no problem drafting OSU players in fantasy football because they always are prepared well for the game. The NFL is pro set offense and defense and OSU with Tressel will NEVER be anything but versions of that.
But still, I want these guys for the Lions and we could get them. I just hope we draft smartly in Detroit.
But Don, the issue is not whether OSU fears UM. The issue is always if WE fear YOU. We don't anymore! OSU has lost all invincibility. I saw a bowl game lost that you should have won but for PISS POOR coaching from Tressel's staff. We don't fear that anymore.
That means your run of domination draws fast to a close. We got you next year in Ann Arbor. I am not afraid to say it. You are going down next season with too many players to replace, and we are going up. Your QB has serious issues with the throws a pro set QB must make. And as I have said and the games have shown, that is ALL Tressel KNOWS!
