The NHL season is starting back up soon, and I am very excited even though the season just ended. The Red Wings did lose some players, Hossa and Hudler were to two big names, and didn't really pick up any big names this offseason, but you know they have the depth. I really like the Wings chances once again this season, as long as they can stay healthy. I don't think Chicago is that great and Detroit has owned them in the past.
I wish that the NHL moved Detroit to the Eastern Conference. It sucks they never play the Original Six teams, those are the games I would love to see, and I am sure would help the NHL a ton.
This is one of my favorite times of the year, Michigan football, Red Wings hockey, Lions football (yes I know, sad), and hopefully Tigers playoff baseball!
Go Wings!

im still sad over the finals. detroit was and still is the better team. pitt just played a little harder and stayed a lot healthier. i guess the players are liking these opening games overseas, though. they are like gods over there

Woot, hockey's back! Wings looking good so far against the Blues. They have a lot of Offensive production to replace (90 goals I think), but I think Babcock gets the job done.

Im SOOOOOO happy the NHL has started again. I agree TNT the wings looked old in the second half of the finals. Watched the Pens rasie the banner last night and be the Rangers 3-2. There is plenty of room next to that banner for this years.....

Well, when you only have 3 Championships, there should be plenty of room up there.

Very true. Everyone has to start somewhere. Maybe they will hang a fourth up there this time next year in the new arena.

the central division is the toughest one in the nhl. Detroit moving to the east would help my team, the cbj.
cbj opened with a win. 88 more points to the playoffs.
