So far ok in metro Detroit with a high of 31 and low of 23. But starting around after midnight through 4pm Friday we're supposed to get six to ten inches of snow with snow drifts two feet high.

Where are you at and how's the weather there?

Grand Rapids. 8-12 inches. Same as the expected snowfall. Ha!

It's 22 degrees with freezing rain. There are winter storm warning running through 12noon today. I'm just afraid the next shift wont be able to make it into work - that means I'll be stuck here :(

I'm in Chicago. And though the temperatures aren't bad - in the mid 20's, we've had about 16 inches of snow this week.

It's "seasonally white" which should make for a nice Christmas...

It hit 70 here today. Left Michigan 11 years ago and never moving back.

Haha In the same boat. ;)

Yesterday it was 68 at 10:30pm and when driving home from work at 3am it was still 51...

Today it's rainy and a cool 45 :D.

The wind chill's about -30 F, and the air temperatur's hovering around -3. I'm sure you guys in the south are very envious of me.

Damn bitter cold here in LA. Currently raining and 52 degrees. My wife has decided it is too cold to go out of the house (not kidding!).

LAMfan,

Hopefully, you're able to come up with a few ways for your wife to spend her day indoors! I hope Santa's got some great stocking stuffers for you and your loved ones...

Tonight's forecast for Chicago. Temperatures in the 17 to 20 below zero range, wind chills in the minus 40's. It is a bit chilly... a very good reason to stay inside.

Apparently it's soooo cold that you can leave a banana outside, let it freeze, and use it as a hammer. I think it has to be around 13 below for that to work.

I had to forget the slinky theme to make room for that fact.

6 inches of snow on the ground. Wind chills at or around -30. Couldn't be happier. I love the cold.

Just got six inches of snow yesterday in metro Detroit. The economy's bad and my job's not doing so great so I didn't renew my snowplow service this year. Didn't want to buy a snowblower cause it's too expensive. So I said fock it. I bought a snow pusher/shovel for $20 last month and I'm doing fine shoveling my own damn driveway. I'm now wondering why I spent the money on a snowplow service all those years.
