My daughter is 6 years old and is in kindergarten. The other day she brought home a homework assignment to make a poster of herself. The poster had a slot for family photo and a slot for her photo. There were questions on the poster as well like what do you want to be when you grow up, she put dentist. Things you like, she put babydolls, nintendo DS, barbies and american girl dolls. Things you dislike. She put tee-ball, soccer and snakes.
That night she came up to me and without me saying anything she said daddy I know what else I can put on my poster that I dislike. I said what's that and she said Ohio St.
It brought a tear to my eye and a huge smile to my face.

Haha, nice. I'd love to see the teacher's face when he/she read that.

Me too, especially since we live in Ohio.

She is young so there is still hope for her. Ohio is loaded with great hospitals - get her to one. If you love your child then get her help so she does not have to grow up watching and cheering for that mess of a football program RR is building up North. Ohio kids are not kind, in fact they can be pretty mean - so please help your daughter before there is permanent damage. :D

Shane,

Great story! I read it aloud to my wife, and she laughed out loud!

Tell her if she dislikes OSU so much, and wants to a dentist, to get good grades in school, go to UM for undergrad, and then go to UM Dental School as it's one of the best in the country. Then, when she opens her own practice, she can hire a bunch of OSU Dental School grads as her hygienists, as their school is one of the worst, and that is all their qualified to do upon graduation!

It's a long way off if she, but when she's of applying to Dental School, shoot me a line as I have a lot of connections there through my father, and I could help grease the wheels a bit (not that she'll need it I hope).

ps -- you know why they have a hard time solving murders in Ohio (insert any basackwards, inbred, hillbilly state -- here in TX we use OK, and AR)?

Because there ain't no dental records, and all the DNA is the same! LOL!

THAT is sooooo cute! My daughter is now 8 years old and she dislikes the "Butteyes" (her words) too. She has however been influenced somewhat by the dark side of the force in that she likes Michigan State. My wife went through the veteranary technician program there. My daughter wants to be a vet. Oh well, them little girls tend to get daddy's wrapped around their little fingers at an early age. I will tollerate her choice I guess.
