Living in Cincinnati, it's hard not to follow the Bearcats! My question is...

How can they have 13 regular season games without playing a conference championship game? They are 10-2 now and play Hawaii next Saturday...

I found out...

Apparently you can play 13 regular season games AS LONG AS you schedule Hawaii @ Hawaii. This helps Hawaii schedule teams to come play out there! I remember when Michigan played there after the tUOS game, I thought that was kind of odd...

Definitely a great trip for the players!!!

I'm proud of UC, I've adopted them as my other team since living here. When I first moved here they were a joke and 15 years later they're going to a BCS bowl. When they joined the Big East I thought for sure they would never win a football championship. Instead they are on the verge of going from being a basketball school to being a football school. A win in Hawaii would be great for them and give them a chance to prepare for a bowl game-like atmosphere.

I was listening to 700 WLW and one of the radio personalities said "I would like to pose a question, where did all of these UC fans come from?" "Npw that UC football is winning, everyone is suddenly a UC fan and it's won of our main topics during the segment!"

You didn't hear a peep from anybody 5 years ago about UC football and now they are the talk of the town. I guess there are bandwagon fans everywhere! Lol

Same place all those OSU fans came from in this area about 6-7 years ago. 10-15 years ago the long time Buckeye fans were around but that was about it. Now you see Buckeye fans everywhere you go around here. Its nice to see UC getting some respect. Hopefully they can hang unto Kelly. I just hope those idiots running the school realize they have a good thing going and up the ante.

They are going to have to pony up the money if they want to keep him. 'I heard' Kelly will only leave for 2 jobs, Boston College and Notre Dame...

ND should be looking for a coach really soon?!?!

Wolverin704,

I hope ND keeps Weis for the rest of his contract... I think that Kelly's a good coach, but - he doesn't have the "name" that I think ND's wants in its next coach. Maybe they can hire Bellichek, or someone from the Lion's staff.

I hope they keep Weis that long as well, but unless he starts turning it around I don't see more than 1 more season for him. His problem is he has the persona to be successful in the NFL but not college.

A year ago UM fans wanted a "name" coach too, we got one and I'm glad we got who we did but some of the "name" coaches are over-rated like Weis.

I also liked Kelly a year ago but wasn't too thrilled that he had only been at UC for a year. Thats the only reason I personally didn't push for him to be hired at UM. Had our school come open this season I would have felt better about persuing Kelly.
