What an ass kicking our defense pinned on the hogs from Wisconsin!
Just dominated them...six sacks and six more near sacks. Two picks for TDs. What a game. I haven't seen an OSU defense look this damn good in many, many, years. Many hurried passes. Virtually flawless tackling the whole game. Even the DBs coming up and putting the wood on the Wisconsin fullback in open field tackling.
Impressive. Very, very impressive.;)

The Buckeye defense is for real. They are able to get pressure on teams with the down linemen which allows the LB's to either blitz or help cover. They looked great again and did not look to winded for being on the field the whole damn game.

59 yards for Clay, who was being touted as the second coming of Dayne in the days leading up to the game.
And unlike Clay, it's clear that stamina isn't an issue for that Buckeye D: one of the deepest, quickest, and most athletic in the country.
Go Bucks!

Why couldn't OSU's D make a stop and get off the field? They made a lot of plays but only because they were incompetent at stopping drives till the very end. Also OSU lucked out WI started most of the stalled drives with penalty's, on early downs, nothing to do with the D just mental errors.
OSU offense is terrible the worst in the conference.
What were the stats for the OSU runners? Since you are chastising Clay, I bet they weren't any better than WI's. Please look them up and post them, I won't bother and I aint going to any OSU site to find them.

We had the ball 17 minutes the whole game and ran 3 plays of offense in the third quarter - How do you think the stats are going to look like ?
The Buckeyes were terribly out of sync yesterday - because they never saw the field. The Buckeye defense was on the field the whole day - and did not get tired. Wisconsin would drive down the field with its power running game - then we would pick off the ball and score. Then they would drive down for 3 and we would return the kick for a TD,etc.
All this game showed is that unlike Michigan the Buckeyes can hurt you in many ways. The defense is dangerous as is the special teams. The offense is a work in progress and TP did look flustered Saturday - but he has a month to work out the kinks. The difference is when we play bad we win 33-10 and you guys lose. I can live with that.

Ohio State is a 1 dimensional team that will only beat unraked teams. Like usual.

Which is cool because Michigan is unranked. The only game that I'm a bit worried about is at Penn State. We have a tough end of November - well 2 out of the three games will be tough.

OSU didn't have the ball because the D played a lot but didn't have stops and give the ball back to the offense. Just because the other team didn't score due mostly to dumb penalty's killing drives.
OSU's offensive is terrible, except for a lucky catch this team would have not scored. OSU was lucky the D scored twice, that was a fluke otherwise they would have lost.
Ohio State's offense gets worse every week, it's time to take TP out and let the other QB have a shot. TP isn't smart enough to be a QB, put him at receiver where he belongs.

First off the TD was a perfect throw by TP. He put it where only his guy could catch it and did it just before the half to give us momentum and the lead at halftime.
Wisconsin did not score because the Buckeye defense stood up when it had to. They had 6 sacks and a bunch of pressures. They also came close to a few other picks and sacks. There was no luck in yesterdays game. They took one of the best offensive lines in the nation and tore them apart just using the down linemen.
You will get a front row seat in November to watch what real team defense looks like. We lost a bunch of talent, replaced it and just kept rolling - that is something Michigan cannot do anymore. You guys make excuses.

...spectacular play from the special teams and defense were the primary reasons the D was on the field for so long yesterday. The 2 picks for scores and the KO return for a TD meant they had to get right back after it on very short rest ...a few times.

Your talking a language they don't understand - defense and special teams.
Can you "dumb" it down for them.

..... you must be joking.
He underthrew the ball, allowing the wisconsin defender to catch up and almost make a play, then posey had to twist backwards the opposite way he was running to try to catch it. That was a good catch by posey, but a HORRIBLE throw by tp.

Out of sync because they never saw the field? Sometimes your reasoning is just worse than bad, its pathetic.
They had six, count 'em six......3-n-outs. There were only 3 decent drives, one for 6 plays and punt, one for 7 plays and TD and one for 9 plays and a FG. Very poor offensive showing. If you D doesn't play great this game would have been a disaster.
TP's stats....5/13, 87 yds, 1 TD, 1 INT; 35 yds rushing.
Even Saine only had 55 yds rushing. I thought the new offensive play calling was supposed to have opened it all up and TP was just going to get better and better. I'd be concerned if I were you guys and you play a team that can nullify your D.

That was a circus catch. A near perfect throw and an acrobatic catch with a Wisconsin DB all over him.
We have good WRs, no doubt. And sometimes Pryor makes pitches of NFL quality. And sometimes he doesn't.;)

Who can nullify our D?
Offense? Sputtering horribly. I am concerned. This offense won't cut it against a good OOC opponent at BCS time. SC was proof of that.

USC
Florida
Texas
Alabama
Arkansas
Just to name a few and that might be all there is. But then again it takes a defense good enough to stop your offense otherwise the offense has even more pressure put on them.

SC was lucky to get 18 pts, TX was lucky to get 24. Bama's claim to fame is D too, so I don't know about them. AR, huh? FL is the only team (with a HEALTHY Tbone) who might score more than TX. This is pretty elite company we are talking about. The best of the best.

Laugh out loud. This is the same attitude from every OSU fan after they win a few games in the Big Ten. Perfect throw by TP.. how about a perfect non-review on the pass that hit the ground that would have stopped the drive? Forgot about that. How about the fact that OSU looks exactly the same every year only to get embarrassed on the national stage come January. I can't wait for that. It's going to be another great birthday for me.
SC was lucky to get 18 on OSU? How about OSU was lucky to get SC with a freshman QB in his 2nd start? If OSU plays SC this week, OSU scores the same amount of points maybe and SC gets 30+

The Buckeyes are just fine. You Michigan team sucks Dicky. Nice defense - how did Tate do last night. I heard the trainer had to get a few splinters out of his ass. :D

I actulaly think osu/alabama would be a good matchup to watch. I don't think osu could pull it off. But if osu had a GREAT game I think it would be a good matchup. I'm not sold on alabama quite yet as a NC contender

When will you buckeyes ever learn? Sounds exactly like what we heard during the 2006, 2007, 2008 seasons. The best defense this, the lowest scoring that, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.....then a good team comes in and BLAM! I think OSU was very fortunate that Sanchez was not the starting QB this season. USC would have been a lot scarier this year had he come back. I will admit that OSU's defense is good and has some talent, but we've been down this road a few too many time before to not know how the story ends. I don't think I can go so far out on a limb to claim a UM upset this year, but I do think OSU will have its hands full against the UM offensive attack. If UM had anything that resembled a good defense this year, OSU would be in serious trouble.

I don't think Ohio State as a whole is ready for Florida this year. I do think we could play with Alabama or Texas though. The defense has showed it can hang - the offense is what I'm still not sold on. You have to have an established running game to open up the passing game - and we have not had a consistant one yet. I think Ohio State is a year away from being a NC contender. You will have a lot of turnover with the elite teams next year. No Tebow, Bradford, McCoy,etc - should make for a wide open NC race next year. The Buckeyes will return a shit load of talent on both sides - the ball is in TP's court. Florida normally has a ral good team for a year or two - then they drop off for one (2006) - then return strong. How do you replace Tebow.
The nation won't be happy but Ohio State will be getting a lot of press and hype next year - and it will be deserved this time.

Actually I must admit this defense is actually good, unlike the last few years, this is more like the Florida D that beat OSU in the championship game. This defense is actually strong at the point of attack and the line as opposed to the last few years they were more a linebacker driven D, I suspect this D is as good as any in the Nation maybe even Florida, based on the most important factor of winning games, controlling the Line of scrimmage.

Maybe he likes to stare. Right at his receiver. I'm not a rocket scientist or anything but usually when you look where you are going to throw for 10 seconds, wind up, and throw it at that target.. it may be covered.
