I'm officially done, please direct me to a UM message board worth reading....

I can't stand this message board anymore. I am getting headaches just reading these posts. Please direct me to a decent UM board where members actually can have reasonable discussions about UM football.

My issue can be easily be illustrated by about 4 out of every 5 threads in this forum. In the "Michigan Football" forum, regarding the Iowa game, almost every single thread goes something like this:

1. What do you think about __________ during the Iowa/UM game.
2. No idea, but guess what, OSU is awesome.
3. Should Tate or Denard have been in for the last drive?
4. Both suck, Pryor is awesome.
5. Pryor sucks, Tate is a freshman and will make mistakes.
6. I love how you all loved Tate, he sucks, haha, Pryor is awesome.
7. How can we improve our defense, and what changes are we seeing?
8. Who cares, your defense sucks and our defense is the best in the nation.
9. Yeah, but OSU's offense sucks.
10. But (you're) (sic) defense sucks more....

Rinse, repeat, rinse, and repeat. What a total waste of time.

Since the moderator has no plans to actually keep posts related to the topic at hand, I can't stand reading the same hijacked threads over and over.

My wife teaches fourth grade, and even her students aren't as immature as most of the trolls on this board. However, I do have a nephew who constantly craves attention, needs to keep repeating the same mundane things over and over, and consistently has the "look at me, pay attention to me" attitude prevalent in 9 year olds. I give him a pass for that behavior, however, because he is after all, only 9.

I do know that he understands how idiotic it is to type, "should of" or "could of" over and over again. Also, he has learned the difference between your and you're as well. So I guess I am comforted by the fact he is getting a much better education than all of Ohio.

Anyhow, I have enjoyed this board over the past few years, but simply can't wade through all the useless repetitive garbage. If anyone can point me in the direction of a non pathetic board, I'd appreciate it.

Thank you for this. This board is garbage. It's good for an occasional good piece but never more than one or two a month. It has turned into a cess pool of Michigan cry babies and trolls that are closet Michigan fans. One day they will wake up and realize that the life they lead is terrible. Going to a website to argue on the internet is pure win in their eyes for now.
The moderator doesn't help nor care about this board. He or she should probably help it by keeping it clean and deleting retard window licker posts that neither support the discussion or bring new questions to light. I've said this before, this forum is circling the drain my friends. Someone must step up and form their own board keeping the troll closet Michigan fans out.

I spend the majority of my blogging over at mgoblog. This forum is decent in the offseason, but too many trolls and fair-weather fans are here during the season. This forum has become shit and we have the editor to thank for that. His belief in "freedom of speech" is why he has to beg us to click the sponsors. Mgoblog has quite a few guys that know a ton about the game. There is a nice point system there that helps to limit trolls. Within the past year, it has been diluted as well, but they've taken measures against it. For those looking for analysis, their UFRs are definitely worth a read.

Saturday night and Sunday were brutal to get on here. Nut was on EVERY SINGLE THREAD in the Michigan Section. I responded to him several times but just couldn't keep up. I pulled a MAIZEandBLUE and just clicked the 'X' in the upper right hand corner.

I like to discuss football, but I don't wanna talk about tUOS football, PERIOD. If I wanted to do that, I would go to their website. What this trolls keep saying is "Just bringing reality to this board" or "It's nice to have outside perspective". I don't mind that but WE honestly don't care what you think AND we don't want EVERY THREAD converting to a tUOS discussion. We know the history of the 2 schools, we don't need a constant update. Mike Furley, osusteve, and a few others actually bring football knowledge to this board and they are tUOS. Not 'Pryor is great' 'Defense is great' 'Tressel is great' 'Brutus is great' 'Band is great' 'Fans are great' 'The shoe is great' blah blah blah...

I'm starting to ween away from this site as well. I think I may try the ignore list option and see how that works first! That way I don't have to read all the tUOS garbage on here! This might as well be a GoBucks site...

Yeah but I think the point they're making is that the grade-school style arguements kind of take away from a meaningful conversation about Michigan football. The truth is, is that every Saturday we have two favorite games to watch and that is Michigan and Ohio State as do the buckeye fans and as much as people like to say they root for the other to be undefeated, it is a lie!

We both from both sides love to see misery on each other's program and that is the dead honest truth! With the passion of the rivalry it is impossible not bring up both sides in this forum every week!

If Michigan wins and OSU loses then we as Michigan fans are quick to point that out and laugh at them! And the same goes for Ohio State to throw it in our faces. I for one can take it and embrace it!

It's not like that. When a thread is pulled off topic, that post is deleted and then there needs to be some repercussions for that poster. Nut, go check out buckeyeplanet. I'm sure you won't think their site is boring as hell. In fact, they are quite knowledgeable and offer up a ton a football experience. There's even a UM dedicated thread where you should be right at home. Don't talk bad about tuos though, you will get banned immediately. I visit there and keep it peaceful. If I feel the need to respond, I do. You are correct that it is nice to get an outsiders opinion of your team, but you and others here don't do it in the right manner.

I read the professional level stuff too, to stay informed. IMO this board is more like being at a bar, having a drink, talking some serious stuff, and talking some smack. What's wrong with that?

The Barwis thread was serious, not flaming. I just asked what's up with the superman conditioning program? Is it paying off? How so? Did you get your $1,000,000 worth of results? If not, why not? If not, who's gonna blow the whistle on wasted money and broken promises? Likewise, the investigation. It seems to have fallen off the radar screen as far as this board is concerned despite the fact it could have serious repercussions for your program if wrongdoing is found and punished. Last, but not least, a quick question about the first time coaching showdown between KF and RR. Who won? Not the final score but who appeared to be the better coach? At least that night?

Can anybody ask any questions about anything without the sensitive types like you getting all bent out of shape and grabbing for your Kleenex boxes? Man up and see if you can answer any of the questions posed above.

Finally, I ask the same tough questions about OSU. Tressel's employment contract (guaranteed $$$$$) without guaranteed results being one of favorite gripes there.

This forum is not supposed to be a RR fan club site. It's about Michigan/B10/CFB. Tough questions. Bragging rights. Trash talk. It's all part of the game. Now put you helmet back on and stop crying.:rolleyes:

But aren't you supposed to be a UM fan? You're talking from the perspective of an OSU fan or at the least an outsider of the program.

Show me how the team is worse than expected, or that they are not very good. The team has lost by one score at the home fields of 2 teams with some fairly good defenses. They are a team that is just above average in year 2 of a rebuild.

Tell me Rad, when is the last time you expected UM not to lose? When is the last time you weren't worried UM would either lose an early season game or lose to OSU? I know for myself over the past 10 years I kept expecting the magic of the 97 team to return but every September I'd be worried about that early season loss, especially against ND. Finally in 2006 I saw it all come together, I was finally starting to get past the Nebraska loss, and then UM got beaten by OSU because once again we couldn't stop them from running the ball, and then we got plastered by USC. With the 2007 season blowup and all the seniors leaving one had to know that no matter what 2008 was going to be a down year and that 2009 would get better even more so with the new coach and new system. For once do a gut check and be realistic. Just don't see the sense of a "UM" fan to come in here and try to ruffle the feathers of UM and OSU fans alike. You're like the little sibling that everyone tries to get on their side in an argument but no one really likes.

Well, I think Ed intends to run this as a Michigan football site, not a Support camp. The idea is for anyone to openly discuss Michigan football and related (OSU) things.

I agree with tMM, there probably is a place for a filtered pro-UM, pro-RR themed site somewhere, I just don't think its here. You have to accept the openness of this space to nuts and the sane alike.

My issue can be easily be illustrated by about 4 out of every 5 threads in this forum. In the "Michigan Football" forum, regarding the Iowa game, almost every single thread goes something like this:

1. What do you think about __________ during the Iowa/UM game.
2. No idea, but guess what, OSU is awesome.
3. Should Tate or Denard have been in for the last drive?
4. Both suck, Pryor is awesome.
5. Pryor sucks, Tate is a freshman and will make mistakes.
6. I love how you all loved Tate, he sucks, haha, Pryor is awesome.
7. How can we improve our defense, and what changes are we seeing?
8. Who cares, your defense sucks and our defense is the best in the nation.
9. Yeah, but OSU's offense sucks.
10. But (you're) (sic) defense sucks more....

My wife teaches fourth grade, and even her students aren't as immature as most of the trolls on this board. However, I do have a nephew who constantly craves attention, needs to keep repeating the same mundane things over and over, and consistently has the "look at me, pay attention to me" attitude prevalent in 9 year olds. This IS a Blue forum for starters. I don't mind legit discussion and opposing viewpoints from anyone, but threads should not be hijacked ALL the damn time. Stick to the subject matter! I am actually entertained by many of the tOSU's here and see through them like a window (call it experience and perhaps middle age). Many of the tOSU's are very funny, and knowlegeable about football when they wish to discuss such, but the hijacking should be addressed. If we are to keep this a place worth coming to, at least the posters should try to keep to the subject matter. Since the moderator has no plans to actually keep posts related to the topic at hand, I can't stand reading the same hijacked threads over and over.

My wife teaches fourth grade, and even her students aren't as immature as most of the trolls on this board. However, I do have a nephew who constantly craves attention, needs to keep repeating the same mundane things over and over, and consistently has the "look at me, pay attention to me" attitude prevalent in 9 year olds. I give him a pass for that behavior, however, because he is after all, only 9.

I do know that he understands how idiotic it is to type, "should of" or "could of" over and over again. Also, he has learned the difference between your and you're as well. So I guess I am comforted by the fact he is getting a much better education than all of Ohio.

Anyhow, I have enjoyed this board over the past few years, but simply can't wade through all the useless repetitive garbage. If anyone can point me in the direction of a non pathetic board, I'd appreciate it.

I can't stand this message board anymore. I am getting headaches just reading these posts. Please direct me to a decent UM board where members actually can have reasonable discussions about UM football.

My issue can be easily be illustrated by about 4 out of every 5 threads in this forum. In the "Michigan Football" forum, regarding the Iowa game, almost every single thread goes something like this:

1. What do you think about __________ during the Iowa/UM game.
2. No idea, but guess what, OSU is awesome.
3. Should Tate or Denard have been in for the last drive?
4. Both suck, Pryor is awesome.
5. Pryor sucks, Tate is a freshman and will make mistakes.
6. I love how you all loved Tate, he sucks, haha, Pryor is awesome.
7. How can we improve our defense, and what changes are we seeing?
8. Who cares, your defense sucks and our defense is the best in the nation.
9. Yeah, but OSU's offense sucks.
10. But (you're) (sic) defense sucks more....

Rinse, repeat, rinse, and repeat. What a total waste of time.
