If given a choice of your last 5 QB's to play today, who would it be? I think Troy was the most dangerous in both passing and running.

It's not really fair. I always liked Joe Germaine and I think he would thrive in Tressel's offense. The problem is though you are comparing people like Germaine, Krenzel and Troy Smith in their primes to Pryor in his second year. I'd want to see what Pryor's ceiling is first.

That is a good point. In that case not considering Pryor who would it be?

Definitely Germaine. He was a pocket passer but never really got a lot of credit because he split a lot of time a mobile quarterback. It would be really neat to see what a pure pocket passer could do in this offense. It's unfortunately we may never know.

He didn't split time though his senior year. In his senior year, Germaine became the starter, as well as a team co-captain. That year he set 11 school records, throwing for 3,330 yards and 25 touchdowns.

One of the best Buckeye classics IMO is the final winning touchdown drive against Arizona State in the 97 Rose Bowl. He led the Bucks on a 65-yard drive in 12 plays in the final 1:40 for the winning touchdown.

Right, he only got one year as "the guy" so he's not really remembered. Think about how great he was his last year and how he's not even mentioned in the discussion of great OSU qb's. The stupid Stanley Jackson experiment really screwed OSU fans out of some good years.

Troy Smith could run, pass, win, and beat Michigan. He's the best of the last 5, and probably of all time. He was like Rex Kern, only faster.
