Seems like its almost a done deal. Should make for an interesting matchup next year with them. Clearly someone listened to Carr.

Fortunately, this means we (hopefully) still have Fred Jackson.

I would hate to see Jackson leave. In my eyes he is a solid recruiter, along with the fact we could use his son.

That would be awesome for English. I think that he was hozed last year when he was bypassed for the Southern Illinois job.

So, if this happens, EMU now has a better team than Michigan and a better head coach? Wow, this is just getting out of hand. If EMU comes in and rolls us, OMFG will I just puke. This is just pathetic, I'm tellin' ya.

I can hear Bill Martian's secretary now....."Mr. Martian, you have a call on line one, it's Coach English from EMU."

Martian then takes the call.....

Martian: "Yeh, what can I do for you, Ron?"

English: "Uh, yes Bill, I was wondering if you and Michigan maybe wanted to come over here in 2010 and be our homecoming opponent, we need a good test. Besides, it could set up for one hell of a rematch in the Motor City Bowl, Billy......."

Congrats to Ron E. I think he would have made a good HC at Michigan and i think that Eastern is getting a great coach with an established reputation in the area. Several comments about this though. First off, Ron E. could be signing his own death certificate; we all know how hard it is to win at Eastern; and do you really think everyone is scrambling to get Jeff Genyk (or w/e his name is) on their staff? Second, i was wondering if anyone knows what he's doing with some of his staff positions... are we going to to see DeBoring at EMU? could be... anyways, good luck to EMU and their HC, Ron English.
