I think moving forward it is clear players from Texas and Oklahoma are not tough enough for the Big Ten and Michigan and should be avoided.

The homesick 3 of Beaver, Sam, and Mallet should send a clear example of going after players from thumb sucking states like Texas and Oklahoma is a waste of time. They miss their moms, can't handle snow, and are scared of competition. Is this the type of player we want? Cowards?

Beaver is such a coward he is actually going to Tulsa!!! God what a joke.

McGuffie tells KRIV-TV in Houston he’ll decide where he’ll go “in the next couple of days” and says he wants to play close to his Texas home.
I MISS MY MOMMA!!!!!!

“It’s about who you’re going to be with over the next four years,” Beaver said on Friday, adding that proximity played a big role. “I was impressed with how (the Tulsa coaches) carried themselves. They told me everything that was offered, and everything they said made sense.”
I MISS MY MOMMA AND TULSA SAID I COULD HAVE THE STARTING JOB, MEAN OL MICHIGAN WOULD MAKE ME COMPETE.

"It's a little chilly for me," compared to his native Texarkana, Texas. However, the true freshman reinforced his commitment to Ann Arbor commenting "everyone gets homesick" and that "I talk to . . . my parents every night."
I MISS MY MOMMA SO MUCH. IT IS SO CHILLY HERE PLEASE BRING ME HOME MOMMA.

What pussys.

Right, making fun of 18 year old kids. That's real great. If I had a dime for every time an 18 year old changed his mind, I wouldn't have to ever work again.

There was once a time where being 18 meant you were a man and acted like an adult. What the hell is happening to this country where an 18 year old man calls his parents every night homesick?

Maybe we need another great depression or world war to toughen this country up again.

I guess being a youtube sensation trumps being tough in this day and age.

I can understand homesickness, especially if you don't have the outgoing kind of personality to form friends right away. Being from a conservative state and landing in one of the most liberal towns in the country probably cannot help much either.

What I cannot understand is giving an interview saying "I'm coming, tell them I'm coming, they need me and I can come in and contribute" and switching 2 days later. If you're wavering, say it. That is all.

I also cannot understand the cold argument. Some of the NFLs best franchises play up north; might as well start getting used to it. The FL and CA kids seems to handle it just fine.

Yeah, the Beaver thing is bullshit. Don't say you are 100% and then two days later leave. At least let them know you are looking around and you aren't sure.

I agree with this. I would have a lot more respect for this kid, if he were to have come out and said that he had questions or wasn't sure. But, two days prior he was saying that he was 100% solid on his commitment to Michigan. I wish him well in Tulsa, but he lost some credibility in my book.

We need to remember that these kids are not signed until February and have every right to change their mind. I just hope that they do it in a professional manner.

They do have the right to change their mind but like I said before, you are only as good as your word. "Say what you mean, mean what you say". At 18 their minds are far from being mature, but 18 year old "kids" are allowed to carry M-16's and take human lives in service of their country. They are legally adults. They must make adult decisions that will impact their lives for 4 years. Many take the "bird in the hand" offer then shop around after that is secured. THAT is wrong!
Beaver is the biggest dissapointment as far as a man and his word. That was terrible and speaks of what type of person he is.
