Whether or not Forcier is QB(most likely as of right now) or not, our offensive line needs to protect/block so he doesn't get killed. Since there is more experience next year on the OL(Taylor Lewan too maybe?), I think we should be Okay...

The O-line improved quite a bit as the year went on. I do expect to see new faces (Omameh and Barnum), but they should be worked in slowly. I don't think Lewan sees the field this year, we have plenty of redshirt OL returning with a year under RRod/Barwis.

I think the O line along with the whole team will be MUCH better. The inexperience showed itself this year but the good thing is most will be returning for the next couple of years.

Yeah, I think Oline is such a tough position to learn, no freshmen will come in and start. There's so much technique and developement that needs to take place. There really is no other positon that a redshirt is as critical.

The oline really made some progress this past year while being just about as thinned out as any one line could possibly be. Thehy got a ton of experience in that one year. That will be so much better next year with the addition of 6 redshirt freshmen. I think that position will see the biggest difference from '08 to '09. Well, actually second, behind the QB position. That change should see the biggest improvement from year to year.

TPI,

I agree, the O line's critical - the experience gained last year, a full year with Barwis and learning the system for both last season's O line and the redshirt freshman will pay some dividends and we're going to have depth there for the next four seasons.

Everything I've heard and read about Tate sounds fantastic. And, since I expect he'll see quite a bit of action next season, my guess is we sign another highly ranked QB next season - who redshirts his freshman year, plays behind Tate for two seasons, and then takes the helm - with two more seasons of eligibility.

The offense will be much improved next year. I'm looking forward to seeing it work much more effectively and counting the points they put on the board.

I bet our WR's are just aching for the ball to be nicely thrown to them. I try not to get to far ahead of everything, but I think we could put up a 40+ first half next year...LOL..it's just a thought!
