M vs. Wisconsin

this is a big statement game, our first game in the big ten as a good team in like, 10 years. let's see how the guys react. they seem to be playing full of energy early on (its 11 to 7 Wisconsin and Sims is going to the line). hopefully they can keep it up and can build a lead by hitting a few 3's early.

yea, we weren't shooting very well all day, wisky's defense shut down manny; and their offense was very efficient. tough loss but a good learning game for our young team in the big 10. :(:(

Hate to say it, but we look outclassed. This team can play with anybody, but needs to show up for every game....even the damn FT shooting seems off today!

I don't know how we were 'outclassed' but we definitely didn't have any answers to their tight on-the-ball defense. Sims and Harris never had any sort of rhythm and our defense gave up alot of easy buckets. There was no stopping some of their threes but you can control the easy ones inside. When you get down early, guys start gambling. That led to them getting easy shots and left us with a very small chance of coming back.

They did get easy buckets right from the get go and before we knew it, we're down 12 points early. Wisconsin played well. My concern going in was the many offensive rebounds we have given up to the lesser teams we have played. I think this is going to haunt us all year with the bigger lineups we'll see in the Big Ten.

W's coach is proven. He is probably the most underated or at least one of the most underrated coaches in the nation. last year, Big ten champs, and nobody talked about him. It's all about Izzo, Tubby, Crean and the likes. This dude is for real. Look at his record. Look how he took apart a decent coach like B-line.

I love this years team! They are a hodge podge of secondary talent that has performed like champs early in the season.

The problem that I have seen is that they are not a complete team YET. There rebounding has been suspect at times. Manny is a really good player but he is not a superstar that cant be stopped. M has used the 1-3-1 to effect this season but it tends to break down to easily. Hell, defensively M has been a C- at best.

They almost lost to Savannah State they beat FGC, Oakland and a win less NCC but they should have beat those teams. Sadly they won those games but they didnt win with authority like they should have against inferior talent. I definitely think this team is capable of making the tourney but they have got to play better defense and they have got to learn how to be aggressive

I am actually happy with the team so far. They weren't supposed to be good at all and are coming out and are currently ranked. You are being too critical of a team that was supposed to be in the Big Ten cellar again.
