Happy New Year Everyone (even Nut and RTB)!
I want to thank everyone that participates in this forum, even those adversaries that bring out my angst!
I truly love Michigan Football, and I am proud to be a part of this board. It is one of the simple joys in my life to be able to discuss something that I love so much with other that love it as well.
With all that is going on in the world today, college football is no doubt a distraction, but I believe that it is a noble distraction. There is no sport in the world that is as pure a blend of strategy and athletic prowess as college football -- pros play for money and fame, while college players still play, for the most part, for the love of the game. I am proud to be a devout fan (or follower if you listen to RTB) of the one of the greatest sports teams in history -- a team that over a century ago taught one of its biggest and more heated rivals how to play the game; a team that has won more games than any of its peers, and a team that competes annually in arguably the greatest rivalry in all of American sports.
Yes, we've seen better day in Ann Arbor and the team is down, but we are certainly not out! Great things are on the horizon for the our mighty Wolverines! We are the Champions of the West, the Leaders and Best, and 2009 will mark Michigan Football's re-assention to the pinnacle of college football!
Go Blue forever my fellow Michigan Men and Women, and I wish you all a happy, healthy, and prosperous 2009!
