Kid looks like he has lost it. Too much stress coming down from Rodriguez has him totally discombobulated. I would expect he is going to transfer out of the program.
Then you can start the guy who isn't able to tie his shoes, or another freshmen if either one of them actually show up.
This is CFB history, folks. The collapse of the Michigan Wolverine football program.

An 18 year old kid that had some bad throws against a very good defense today. That stuff happens. He also made some very good throws. Tates going to be just fine. You have a roster stacked with talent and can barely beat a freshman qb on a team with a depleted roster and honestly should have lost. I see a bright future for Michigan right now. If that is all you got with that roster full of talent you will be crying the blues when you get trampled by whatever pac ten opponent you end up playing. Pryor for the most part stinks and against a good defense your sorry offense does nothing. What was that 14 points your offense scored today. You guys stink! Tate will transfer? sure, just keep drinking the delusional Buckeye tea. If any fans should be dissapointed right now it should be you because you just saw how bad you suck!

Dude doesn't give a fuck. Just a con. Never has, never will. What a different day this is. OSU tags us for 6 in a row, and I no longer care.
It is dead, folks! Just get out a shovel and throw dirt on it, so it don't stink next week.
I am switching over to the basketball forum. Fuck this shit.

Great fucking job, Martin you retarded asshole. Great fucking job! Oh, now I get it. YOU ARE A CON TOO!

I AM NOT rooting for the football team as long as that CON MAN is coach.
No more RR this and RR that. Martin was desperate and let it show, because he is so INCOMPETENT an AD. RR just took him to the cleaners.
RR got his 2.5 million a year and UM ate 4 million buyout for him. What the fuck is that? A CON!
RR is just sitting back until he is let go. He has won, he got his money. He is just hanging out now, enjoying the family. Fuck Michigan, right RR? It isn't your rivalry, it isn't your fans or your tradition. It is all there right in front of us, his actions speak volumes.
Ever hear the expression: Don't throw good money after bad? It applies here.
I gave RR two years, now I know what he is.
I HOPE the NCAA finds violations. Then we can fire the punk, and maybe get a REAL coach. NOT with Martin having anything to do with it. I hope we get his replacement here soon, and get him involved.

What you fail to realize is that we are as young as you are. Many of our kids were starting for the first time this year. We lost a ton of talent off last years team. In fact many of you predicted 4 or more losses for us this year. All we did was win the conference. You can say what you want about our offense - but we did not make stupid mistakes. Maybe now you realize how hard it is to play QB in college. I rather have Pryor then a gunslinger that does not take care of the ball.
We lose very little this year. Next year we will be better. I expect TP to real come into his own next year. He is improving and he is doing the little things you need to do like throw the ball away and protect the ball. The future looks bright for Michigan ? You lose many of your best players this year. We will see who is better next year. The Buckeyes have many young studs ready for their shot - like we did this year. I told you we would be better this year and we will be better next year. Blue in Ohio - you remind me of the Browns fans who tell the Steeler fans that they suck - even though they have won 17 of the last 18. How you can say we suck after the way we beat you again is comical.

Did you happen to notice who we had on our roster last season and this season? Did RR throw the 4 interceptions today to lose the game for us, two in the red zone? You are a Wall Mart Michigan fan. So what we fire this guy right now and bring someone else in with a new plan and wait for that to work? Fuck Michigan? How about FUCK YOU!

Dude, I don't care about OSU beating us. I care about the trend we see here in his behavior.
I'd suggest you look back on this situation in a couple of years. I am a lot older than you, and a lot wiser. Maybe you have to get conned to know a con . I have been there. I also know when someone is lying to me.
And RR is both, a con and a liar.
You will see, in the next few months . Why did all those players transfer? Why is Forcier gone? You know he is transferring . He just about gave it away. Why is that?
Don't you think the players know the coach doesn't give a fuck? Would you stay for that?
Swearing at me is fine, if you all feel better go ahead. But see the truth and don't waste you time on this coach.

The talent starting on our defense pales in comparison to what is starting on yours. Our offense is fine and will produce all the points we need next year but it will take time to acquire the type of defensive talent you have. There are some potential playmakers on our defense but they have no business being on the field yet but are forced to be there because nobody else on our roster is that good. The freshmen we are starting right now on defense would not break the starting line up on your defense until junior or senior year. The other juniors and seniors besides Graham well you saw what they have done all year. The good news next year is that next year the freshmen you do see on defense will atleast be redshirt instead of 18 year old true freshmen and some of the upperclassmen just wasting scholarships will be gone so we can recruit the type of players we need. That extra year of weights makes a hell of a difference and is one of the reasons we are getting pushed all over the field by every team in the big ten. I thought GR did a great job today holding your offense to 14 points. We lost because we could not overcome the mistakes a freshmen qb made while being chased all over the field by your defense while starting the biggest game of his career so far. I went into this hoping that at worst Michigan and the freshmen qb could move the ball against you which they did and that by the end of the day it was not a blow out which it wasn't. I'd be curious to see the final stats and wouldn't be suprised if Michigan led in yards which is promising. The worst losses for me this year were against Iowa, Purdue and Illinois. Those were all games that we were in control of and should have won. We win those and right now we are sitting at 8-4. Expecting to beat you guys with your line up and roster full of stars was just too much to ask. Your skill positions are young and ours are too but the difference is your O and D lines and secondary. We lack there either by age, size or skill. This year was very much like last year in terms of there was atleast 3 games we should have won. Next year we will improve on defense and should quite a bit at the qb spot with likely a bigger and stronger forcier.

Congrats on the win and the BT title. tOSU was the better team. I still wouldn't crow too loud though. You know as well as I how your team stacks up nationally. Comparing TP and TF in each of their freshman seasons and TP's 2nd season thrown in to give you a chance, I'd still take a healthy Forcier, especially in year two. With Minor and Brown both hurt, the game rested on the hurt shoulder of a freshman QB going against a great defense... Like I read on a premium site, "A frosh QB is like a one year old puppy" ... that is, cute, but a mess ... no matter what you do you can't change that the puppy is "one" -- only time will change that, nothing else.

Tate is a bit of an enigma, to me. Sometimes he looks great throwing off the run, and sometimes his vision is great at finding the open receiver and sometimes he looks like a real "baller". THEN, sometimes he looks awful. If he is given the time to iron out those "awful" things, he will be outstanding (IMO). BUT, they have that new kid coming in next year that is supposed to be a better athlete, so will he be given the time to mature?

I agree with your take on Tate. I think he has a ton of upside. I wish he would stick in the pocket just a little longer and look off the defenders. This of course will come with experience.

Its called being a 19 year old. There is a reason why most of them redshirt, right?

No doubt. I was at a bar in Austin, where the UM alumni association meets for game, and this stupid cooz start whining about the last INT (which was pretty bad, but could have also been a TD is he calms down and lofts it). I said to her, "he's 19 years old, and normally you wouldn't even know his name if Michigan had any depth..." she continued to whine and said, "I don't care...he needs to make that throw..." I said, "He will, just give the kid time..." She wrinkled her nose and said, "it's just pathetic, and..." I cut her off and said, "how many games did YOU START as Michigan's QB as a TRUE FRESHMAN?" She didn't say anything after that.
Typical whiny ass Michigan fan -- complain with no perspective.
I thought Tate played very well, with the exception of the fumble, and the INT's. He's just making freshmen mistakes, like Nut has preached over and over. He was hurt, and crushed on the a few plays, but played well over all. Unfortunately, he gave the game away again, and he'll have many months to let it eat at him. Hopefully, he'll use it as motivation to get better in the off season!

Forcier is a very good player, a great QB. Nobody can take that away from him.
HIS COACH SUCKS! RR quit coaching, has tried as hard as he is ever going to, but 6 games ago he stopped giving a fuck, right about the time it appeared the NCAA has something on him
We got had by a con man. Whether RR is a good coach or not is not relevant: he does not care!
Our only hope now is if that puke gets fired. But that won't happen with the lesbian gorilla president and the dunce AD. Maybe the new AD coming in will have the balls to do it. Lets hope the NCAA comes down with infarctions!
But as long as that shit is our coach, taking the University for a ride, abusing the fan's loyalty, I am tuning out.
Hooray UM basketball!

Maybe the NCAA will act fast now. I don't know. How is recuiting going? Seems like it is falling off faster now.

Which of those turnovers that Rich Rod made were the worst? The 4 ints or the fumble?
What I saw today as a very good plan on both sides of the ball that was poorly executed on offense by a 19 year old QB. The defense allowed 2 TDs - that should have been enough.

Get over it, Sten. You just took a crap. I forgive you.
There is no excuse that RR has regressed. Last year's team was the same as this. There is a reason why RR has regressed.
Why do you all forgive this man? Why did all the records of practice times vanish? Why is he cagey on the topic? Why do top recruits vanish mid season? What about his shady real estate deals? What about how his business was conducted leaving WVU? We picked up the tab on that!
Sorry all, there is a trend here. We can all hate Rosenberg at the Free Press, but then ESPN reports stuff, the news reports stuff, and the ball rolls. Something is rotten in Ann Arbor. That was the title of an article by Mitch Albom who IS NOT biased.

Dude, you need to calm down. That Lions line isn't that great, quit recycling it over and over.
I'm done talking you short-sighted "fans" off the ledge. If you want to invest 3 recruiting seasons in RR and then fire his ass after the 2nd year and start over, you are out of your mind and totally ignorant.
If you want to read a good Albom article, read the "Waterloo" one I posted here a few days ago. He ridicules those who want to turn Michigan into a revolving door Cleveland Browns / ND type organization that is so obsessed with instant gratification that they fire their coach every 3 or 4 season and remain in a perpetual state of rebuilding.
The program is smarter than that and will let RR have a chance to coach his boys running his plays. Not 1/2 his boys and 1/2 of Carrs scraps, not a team with only 70 scholarship players, and not a team of freshmen and sophomores, a fully loaded team of RR's recruits that HE wants on the field. Suck it up, RR has the blessing of the people that matter, and isn't going anywhere.

I think Forcier has the potential to be a very good qb. The problem is I'm still not convinced that he's the right qb for RR's spread offense. I think Forcier would be a better qb under Tressel at Ohio State and Pryor would be a better qb under RR at Michigan. In other words I think Forcier is made to play in more of a pro-set offense with some scrambling ability. Forcier has skills at the position that you just can't teach. He almost reminds me of Favre sometimes the way he does that shuffle pass. And he can hit the receivers on tough throws if he's not throwing an interception. But the problem I see on why our running backs are always hurt and why our defense is always on the field is cause Forcier is rarely any kind of running threat. RR's type of spread relies on the qb completely confusing the defense on whether the qb gets the carry or the running back gets the carry or whether the qb passes. When Forcier attempts to fake the handoff it's a complete waste of time cause everyone knows he's just going to handoff. And it only slows the rb down. Forcier is just better off handing the ball off right up the middle without any fakes to give the rb a better burst of speed. Therefore, RR's spread is not getting its chance to reach its full potential.
Another problem that makes this a sticky situation is RR's time is running out. Sure he more than likely won't get fired this year. But I think the majority of the people agree that 2010 will have to bring at least a bowl game to keep his job whether he has his guys or not or whether he's on a six year contract. And that means it might be risky to start Gardner even though he's a better match for this offense cause that would mean starting all over again with a qb. But Gardner is rated the best dual threat in the country and the best qb to come out of Michigan since Drew Henson. If he does look like the real deal in spring and summer practice I would just say fock it and take my chances and start all over again at qb with Gardner. Is Tressel successful at Ohio State? Of course he is. I don't know how he does it sometimes, but he does it. He's extremely consistent and does nothing but wins Big Ten Championships and beats Michigan every year. Did he redshirt Pryor his true freshman year? No. He had a decent pocket passer who was a senior and could have redshirted Pryor. And what's one of the reasons why he owned Michigan? He had a dual threat qb in Troy Smith who could run for a first down on any given situation as well as pass.

I dont know if Tate is the right QB for Rich's system either. He is a great QB and has all of the upside in the world, but he is a throwing QB who has some scrambling abilities, not a true duel threat QB that can be a real force to run the ball on any given play.
I have 1 question. Why didnt we see any "read option" this year? Is it because Tate is not a threat to keep the ball and run? Has Rich not opened the playbook that far yet? Shit, he could have taught DRob that instead of just taking the shot gun snap and running strait into the teeth of the defense.
Rich will need to win 8 games next year and 4 Big 10 wins I think to keep his job. Another 5 or 6 win season and I think he is gone with the new AD coming in. Thoughts?

I think Tate is a great QB, that is hurting, small, weak, and very very young. That being said, he has the skills and the heart of a champion. Remember, in an ideal situation, Tate's name wouldn't even been known outside program insiders because he'd have been redshirted and would sitting behind an EXPERIENCED UPPERCLASSMEN QB. RR doesn't have one of those, so he was forced to choose between two TRUE FRESHMEN, neither of which are really ready to play in a big time program, YET! DRob is not much bigger, and although he's faster, his throwing skills are sub standard.
RR does need an 8 win season, but he won't get fired if he doesn't get one. He's going to get his full recruiting cycle of five seasons, so that puts him at the helm until at least 2012. Personally, I think by 2011, he's going to have all the doubters and haters convinced that he was just in need of some experience players.

I agree with the person who compared Forcier to Favre. He had a tough day today and he shouldn't transfer. I remember another freshman fumbling three times inside the five yard line in a single game....his name was Eddie George. Rodriguez will be canned next year after he loses to Ohio State in Columbus and the next coach will be a Michigan Man who will end this mistake of the spread option offense. At that point, Forcier will have two years under his belt and will bloom like Brady Quinn did at Notre Dame as soon as Charlie Weiss got there.
