Most probably. Hmm.....ok. Turns out some of the bigger Texas schools (A&M) took a pass on him. Good luck to him, he is probably going to be tearing it up in C-USA.

He and Beaver can chat. I wish Sam the best, I hope that he gets things taken care of at home.

Rice? Well no doubt he should stand out there and take fewer big hits in C USA. Good luck Sam!

This is probably better for him, he might be able to get away with being a RB in C-USA. I liked he kid the first few games of the year, especially his performance against ND...but you could tell that he was not going to be able to cut it in the Big10. He seemed slow to me as well, like when he was returning kick off's...it didn't seem as if he was moving very fast before he got blasted. Good luck to him at Rice.

I was in Aggieland for Christmas and the word coming out of there is that Sam came to them, and they'd like to have him, but they don't have a scholarship for him right now. Also, there was a bit of the "you had your chance..." when he passed up A&M's offer out of high school.
I think Rice is a good place for Sam -- he'll be close to home, he'll get to play Texas every few seasons, and it's a great school!
Good luck!

Good Luck Sam. I thought the kid was special. The concussion(s) hurt. I hope he makes it back to top form.
