He's a Detroit kid. Rivals has him at 3 stars. He's 6'3", 326 lbs, played both ways, had 84 tackles, 21 tackles for loss and 9 sacks on defensive side of ball.

He is the top recruit for Virginia. Florida wants him. He visited Florida last week. He visits Michigan on 12-4-09 Friday. Ohio State wants him. He visits OSU on 12-11-09 Friday.

I don't know how good he really is, but if Florida and Ohio State want him he must have some potential. He plays defensive line so that's another area Michigan needs help in.

He grew up a Michigan fan, but becuase of something that happened last year in camp, JH wasn't offered till this past week. Maybe they saw something, maybe Big Tex, the ****DT from Ark is a long shot, maybe they don't want him going to O$tate, I don't know. However, he does have a hugh upside and from what I understand, but Michigan IMO, just questions his work ethics.

He came into camp out of shape and overweight. I'm with you on the reasons why U-M wants him now but I think they see Big Tex waivering back and forth and its getting them nervous. I think if Barwis gets a hold of him he could turn into a monster. We'll see what happens after his visit this weekend. It would be great to get a commit from him this weekend. I believe it is our best chance to land him, otherwise he may commit to Florida. He really liked his visit there and almost committed on the spot. The longer the process drags, I think he leaves the state.
I also think it is important to land him to break the Southeastern - MSU pipeline.
