how bad can the state of ND program be if they voted not to play in a bowl, i thought this was about the team and the seniors and 3 weeks extra practice what a joke their program is.

They did the same thing about 10 years ago too. For whatever reason ND thinks they're too good for anything but a major bowl.

Not trying to defend the Irish BUT why would they wanna go? First of all, their head coach AND OFFENSIVE COORDINATOR is gone. Would Clausen calls the plays at the line of scrimmage like Peyton Manning? Also, according to the following article, (http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=4713316) "The school also likely would have lost money because their only option would have been a minor bowl."

It makes sense why they wouldn't play in one from that aspect. I think they were being REALISTIC and not just being ARROGANT, IMO...

so do they tell their recruits this when they commit , oh by the way if we dont go to a major bowl ,we wont go because we will lose money , what a crock of sshit this is. maybe they can confess all there sins and all will be ok..
