Evan Turner suffered a fracture to his back and will miss at least the next two months. As most prognosticators had OSU and Michigan slotted around the same spot in conference outlook, this should help Michigan finish higher. In fact, I'd be surprised if UM didn't finish higher than OSU in conference play.

a few things, furley:
1. it really sucks that Turner is injured. He's a fun player to watch an is
obviously very talented.
2. OSU will finish above UM in the Big 10. OSU has more raw talent, and
Michigan has looked quite mediocre so far this season, although i do think
we will get it turned in the right direction enough to get to the dance. I'm
thinking the big 10 will look something like this:
Purdue
MSU
Wisconsin
OSU
Michigan
Minny
the rest

That is a horrible loss for Ohio State - he is a triple double waiting to happen every night. We still have talent and he will be back. I expect Ohio State to still be very good and other kids will have to step up. That will only make us better when he does return. He is a strong canidate for POY nationally.

WAS a strong candidate. Missing 2 months of play and probably not being 100% when he gets back effectively knocks him out of contention.
I still don't think UM finishes above OSU unless they turn around their D shortcomings. They really are missing having more big men.

The Bucks have shooters and size. They should be OK. They are going to miss their 6'7 point guard - but what does not kill you makes you stronger. Michigan has no size and Sims has been playing soft. I watched the BC game and it looked like Michigan completly took plays off on defense. The broadcasting team showed Harris just standing around and their body actions did not express a team that was in the game. It will be interesting to see how OSU plays without ET.
