Maybe the 12th team is Notre Dame and Kelly will get to play the Bucks!!

So what will we be called the Big 10 plus 2? Big 12 redux?

The announcement is that they are pursuing expansion, they are putting together a committee and in 18-24 months they may or may not have a recommendation for a school to include in the B10.

I wonder if they would even think to ask the current Big Ten fans who they would want to join the conference, given that we pay for everything...

My votes would be Notre Dame, WVU, Cincinnati, and Pitt in that order. I don't know about adding a real East Coast team like Rutgers or Syracuse.

What say you, other B10 fans?:)

i would probably pick those same teams and maybe add a missouri to it, atleast from what i have read the commitee might look to expand where the big10 doesnt get much exposure, syracuse would be a good fit though considering the great basketball they play, i dont think we will ever see nd come forward after all this is done whare would you think a championship game might be played.

I agree with you, but supposedly the B10 is looking at schools all over the nation. If we're talking nationally what schools would we like to see?

Without the absolutely outrageous picks (I really doubt we could steal a school from the super conferences of ACC, SEC, B12 or PAC 10)....

The obvious...

ND, Cinci, Pitt, Rutgers, Syracuse, Louisville, Memphis.

National teams that may be of interest...

Utah
Houston
Navy
TCU
BYU
Boise St
Nevada

It just seems to obvious to me that we'll end up having to raid the Big East, get an independent or a big fish in little pond from a lesser conference like Conf USA, Mountain West or WAC. I don't see any MAC teams being a possibility yet, if one were to be Central Michigan is the only one I think has the program to compete but I don't want a 3rd team in-state.
