That's funny! Now it's over, time to bring in JeRon Stokes, Denard Robinson and possibly Mingo. Who else is Michigan looking at?

You dress as "Super Wolverine" and say something like that?

On a more serious note, I think Monday is the day that the dead period for recruiting ends. I heard that there will be more names added to our list of prospects. With the game Tajh Boyd had, he would be a great prospect though he decommited from WV because he didn't think they passed the ball enough. I don't think we would end up with two dedicated top QB's in one class. Most likely Denard Robinson if he decides to come.

I thought Will was a Michigan commit anyway. He is the best player in Michigan so it sems like a natural fit. RR should keep every good player from Michigan from leaving. He sounds like a good recruit and he is on the side of the ball that needs the most work.

no mingo didn't committ to texas that was a error made on the bottom line...boyd looks like a buckeye, with oregon and clemson trying to get him also

Don't think for a minute that RR hasn't communicated with the big fellow. Cambell knows who the new DC is, and he knows the type of progam he will run. I am sure this is the case. He was good as gone to LSU, but came back at the last minute to UM. Why? The kid is not dumb. He wants playing time, and he saw what Alan Branch accomplished at UM.
This huge turn in OUR FAVOR this time signals the turn of the tide. Prepare for an exciting DC announcement soon, a big name from college or Pro rankings. Hell, maybe it is Mike Trgovac!

Yeah, that would be amazing! A true Michigan Man, played and coached under Bo, and coached under Earle Bruce and Lou Holtz -- quite a pedigree!

Is this just speculation, or is he really available? The Panthers are right in the hunt, and have a good chance of going all the way. Do you really see an NFL DC with such a great career going coming back to the college ranks, even to his alma mater?

Just curious.

Campbell, LaLota, and Roh should be scary good together in the future. Looking forward to that. As far as DC is concerned, whoever is coming in has to be drooling at his DL prospects. Not to get too negative (landing Big Will just won me a six-pack and $20 on two bets with OSU douche bags at work), but are we a little thin at LB; at least in this recruiting class?

I don't know what game you guys were watching but Campbell looked overweight and out of shape. He was slow off the ball and not nearly as dominating as what has been reported. Another disappointment was Fluker the big left tackle. He had his lunch handed to him all day by #9. He had slow feet and lunged way too much to play tackle at the DI level. I am not as big on Campbell as most on here. His antics during the week leading up to and the antics during his decision were pretty classless if you ask me. Then again, the entire recruiting process is classless. I hope he does well but I didn't see him as being an instant factor as was and is being reported on here and most sites. IMO.

I didn't watch the whole game, I was cleaning out the garage, but I think you're right about Campbell, at least from what I saw. However, I am not too concerned about him looking a bit overweight right now -- wait till Barwis gets him in the gym! He's got 8 months before the first snap of the 2009 season, and I'd be willing to bet that he's going to be ready to play!

You're right about the whole recruiting process as being classless. As I've told everyone in here, I am certainly not an avid recruiting follower, but I have been more interested this year than any other season as it is RR's first full season of recruiting. My conclusion: I think there is way too much attention showered on these young men for their own good. I think TP's behavior last year, and perhaps WC's this season, are becoming more and more typical unfortunately.

On a bright note, we're seeing Tate Forcier already differentiating himself from the herd by his low-key, early commitment, his expressions of enthusiasm for working hard, and his desire to compete from day 1. I am not saying that other guys aren't making these statements, but it certainly is nice to see a kid like him that wasn't getting all wrapped up in the media circus surrounding the process as a whole.

The funny thing is that same thing could be said about just about all of those players in the usaarmy game ,i didnt think but a handfull of guys stood out ,and that was because those players were more involved with getting the ball , you really cant take much from that game. ,as for big will he does look a bit cocky..

He did seem slower than I thought he would be against the fast DE's he went up against. I think his speed is very correctable through Barwis and I do think he can come in and start and eventually be the LT if put on offense. I think the game yesterday was a lot faster than any of these kids have gone up against and will ever go up against. Remember these kids are the cream of the cream.

I had heard that when Campbell applies himself he is unstoppable. They were talking about him taking plays off, but I am sure that after Barwis gets a hold of him, this will no longer be an issue.

You guys have to remember, they have rules against playing 100% defense. People were saying the Cissoko looked "soft" last year, but he was our best coverman all year.

I said this on mgoblog, but I'll say it here. Will's situation reminds me of Brandon Graham. Brandon was out of shape coming in as a freshman. He got his crap together and has turned into a dominant force. I say, let's give Will some time with Barwis to add some more strength, shed some weight. Let him work with his position coach to develop some technique. Will's got a great bullrush, but that's about it. He just out-muscles guys right now. The coaches will turn will into a freakin' machine out there.

I agree. I couldn't get over the amount of dropped passes during the game. No one really stood out except the kid that won the player of the year award and #9 on defense because he handed the supposed best high school tackle ever his lunch on every play. That Fluker kid will end up at guard at Alabama, mark my words. As for Campbell, I hope he grows up a little bit and can contribute but I wasn't impressed with the way he played and more importantly, I wasn't impressed with the way he portrayed himself. That is not the type of antics I want to see from someone wearing the maize and blue. IMO
