I just wanted to take the time to wish everybody on the site a Happy Holiday Season and a very Happy and Healthy New Year.

Last night things were put into perspective for me. I had to attend the funeral home for a childhood friend that passed on. She was one of my first friends as a child. Last week her ex-husband murdered her - leaving a 11 and 14 year old behind. To say the funeral home was tough is a understatement.

Take the time this year to appreciate what is important - family. Enjoy the time you spend with each other - because tomarrow is never promised. We live in a material world where we want everything. Be thankful for what you do have - forget about what you don't. Your family and children are what is important. Not only during the holidays - but everyday.

I know I'm not the most well liked person on this site. But I will try in the new year to be more respectful, stay on topic and provide factual statements. Does that mean that I will not spew venom when attacked - I cannot promise that. I can only do so much.

Merry Christmas - Happy Holidays - Happy New Year !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry for your loss Nut. You're right about perspective though. I've had a very tough year (being laid off from Jan to May, etc) but a co-worker of mine lost his father and then 8 weeks later his new born grand son. Kinda makes my families issues look small.

Merry Christmas to everyone on here and here's to a successful and happy new year to all

This is the first christmas in several years that my wife and I are looking forward to. We have had several miscarriages and they always seem to be right before the holidays but this year she is carrying twins and they will be born soon. If anyone else faces that kind of problem good luck to you and keep a positive spirit. I hope all of you out there have a great holiday season and may you and yours be blessed in the new year.

Nut,

Very sorry about your loss. I can only hope that her family is finding some degree of comfort during this season.

And, to all the others who post on this site - my wishes for a very Merry Christmas, a Happy Hannukah, a Kickin' Kwanza, or whatever holiday brings you peace.

I'm hoping the New Year brings us all together and we're able to watch Michigan deliver on the field in a manner that exceeds everyone's hopes and expectations...

My wife and I went through one as well - it was tough. But the body knows when something is not right. We tried again after our mis and had a beautiful baby girl who fills our house with sunshine every day. It sounds to me like your going to have a double blessing and your house will be filled with twice as much sunshine. God Bless and Congrats !!!!!!

Maybe one will be a Buckeye fan and one will be a Wolverine fan. :D

Awesome game, really to bad that they lost but it came as no surprise the way the defense had played all game. They played an awesome game though, it was all over ESPN last night and today which is more pub then BG has seen since Urban Meyer

I did not go to BG - but what a last 60 secs. How do you not cover Barnes with a minute to go in the game ? But what really kills me in college football is the long 40+ year completions late in a game. If your beat - just tackle or pull down the WR. Unlike the pros, it's only a 15 yard penalty. If the DB was beat 60 yards downfield just mug the guy. BG deserved to lose that game just based on the defense in the last 16 seconds.
