Our commits looked good in the game. Kicker Gibbons has a good long distance leg. Justin Turner intercepted a pass, Gallon really didn't get to show his stuff but did catch a tough pass and was returning kick offs. Big Will, well, was Big Will! I didn't know much about Gibbons going in but I feel good about him now. I believe we have several commits in the Under Armour game tomorrow as well. I don't beleive we are expecting any commitments to come out of that game are we?

I don't think so. I know lewan and roh are playing. If we could pick up stokes and Mingo this class would be very solid.

I did see one of gibbons kick offs that landed at the 20 yard line, I only saw that one but he better work on that.

That ball landed on the 20 yard line because of an excessive celebration penalty on the interception return for a TD by Downs. He threw the ball in the stands so Gibbons had to kickoff 15 yards back (can't recall whether it's from the 20 or 25 yard for that penalty, don't know high school kickoff rules..)

I think that Mingo commited to Texas, so I would be surprised if he visits at all.

Mingo did NOT commit. It was on the bottom line during the game, but it is inaccurate.

That is where I saw it, but found it odd that he wasn't in the picture with the rest of the Texas commits.
Thanks.

I saw that on the bottom of the screen as well so I went to the Rivals site and they DID NOT show Mingo as a Texas commit. Is Lolata playing in the Under Armour game?

I was surprised as he didn't have Texas on his list.
I believe LoLata is playing today in the UA game.

No, Lolata was in the AAA game. He was number 90. I remember seeing him quite a few times. These exhibition games are a little weird to judge prospects performance. They don't allow them to play full out defense. It creates a bad evaluation of the players. QBs, WRs, DBs, these games are for them. The fact that I remember seeing Lolata in the screen shot quite a bit is good news that he was right there as a lot of plays concluded.

Roh, Lewan, Bell are playing today in the UA game. Apparently all have been impressing during practice. Lewan has really gotten a name for himself and his stock is rising fast. Roh needs some more weight, but he's sound fundamentally in technique and is quick.
