what a great game , did anyone watch this, seems to me on the last play that failed on the fake field goal northwestern should have been called for a false start . the kicker was never set and kind of walking around. or is this somthing he can do because of being the kicker.

Yeah it was a really good game and I thought it would never end.

All the games so far today have been pretty good.

To bad, the one year they don't have a kicker they really could have used one. They gave the game away because the kicker can't kick. It's the one thing I wich they could change about football. I hate a man's game coming down to the actions of a glorified soccer player.

Yeah you have to look back and think of how many last second losses Michigan has had because some kicker kicked some long field goal. The Texas Rose bowl loss still hurts to this day. I remember seeing under ten minutes on the clock and we were up by ten and thinking of how great it would feel if we won the game but LC let off the throttle and went into JT conservative mode and gave texas the ball back a few times and next thing you know after outplaying them the entire game we lose on some lousy 47 yard field goal. I'll hate Texas for years for that. It was as cheap as the 94 Colorado loss. There's nothing worse than a game with everything on the line and having a victory stolen by an inferior team that just lucked out. I think I'd rather be blown out than lose in that fashion. Some of those losses hurt far more than the pain I've felt over these last two seasons. Nothing worse than losing when expectations are high. Just ask the OSU fans about that.

If it weren't for all the darn turnovers, I think the Wildcats could have pulled off a win. So far a good showing from the Big10 in bowlgames, heck I may even cheer for the Sparties in their bowl. Weak conference my foot...

Yeah, that was a tough loss Ricky. I don't blame Fitzgerald for making that call but at the same time I'm wondering if he felt that the backup kicker wasn't capable of making the short field goal or did he just feel that there was something about Auburn's defense that he could exploit. Either way, it didn't work out. The Big Ten is doing decent in the bowls, but that game could have really given us some clout!
