Looks like the SEC cycle has run it's course.

2010 preseason top ten should have four Big Ten teams; OSU, PSU, WI, and IA. That is domination.

Go Buckeyes!:)

I don't know. If Alabama wins the MNC all bets are off as the media slobers all over the conference. Regardless it'll all be forgotten by next July.

NorCal,

Like Nut, you say one thing that can be interpreted as showing some mild forms of intelligence, and then follow with something that indicates just how uninsightful you are.

If the Big 10 has four teams in the Top 10 national preseason polls - I'll change my footer for a month. Will you take me up on this wager?

Say what?

Here's one out of left field. Have you had your coffee yet? Or slept off the New Year's hangover?

OSU, PSU, WI, and IA (probably) will have all won their bowl games against big time competition. They will all have as good, or better, teams coming back next year. Why wouldn't they all be candidates for a pre-season top ten ranking?

Man, just because Rodriguez has Michigan sucking doesn't mean every other Big Ten team does too. You ought to be glad the conference is fielding more than one (OSU) good team. Like the SEC lately, every team in the conference gets a boost from an over hyped reputation.

norcal,

Why even throw in the Michigan stuff? No need to even include except to try to be a total jerk. You are the poster child for osu trolls.

Norcal,

You are the one on here doing most of the name calling. Your team won a friggin bowl game, great...we all get it. Why come on here and do what you have been doing on here ever since? Only one real answer to that.

I can debate rationally with people who actually listen and can reason. Problem is this, there are not many osu fans that can do both.

I agree. If you win the Big Bowls and have anything returning, you're in the top 10 for the next preseason. A Texas win would be sweet! Now if Urban would have stayed retired. . . .

OSU will be in the top 5 preseason. If Iowa wins Tuesday, they should be in the top 10 next year starting out. Penn State may be there, but they're losing a lot of key players and will only be there because of name recognition. Otherwise they may not even be in the top 15. I see Wisky being ranked in the top 20.

Out of the four, Penn State will be over rated and may only win 8 games or less. Wisky will be under rated because they have a crap load coming back.

If MSU would have beaten Texas Tech, I could see them sneeking in the top 25. They have a lot of returners too.

Big Ten will finish:

1. Iowa (because I drink the kool aid and it tastes good)
2. OSU
3 WISKY
4 MSU
5 PENN STATE
6 PURDUE
6 MICHIGAN
6 NORTHWESTERN
6. Minny
10. Indiana
11. Illinoy (bye Zooker)

You are a poster child for someone who would have been banned a long time ago if this website had an moderator that was paying attention. All you do is flame on every single thread and add nothing. You probably talk dirty to your spouse about Michigan and RR in the sack, the program seems to be on your mind all the time. Therapy may help.

I like NW to finish over MI, probably MN too. IN, IL, and MI will round out the bottom in some random order.

PSU reloads pretty good every year. WI does have everyone back. We should win the conference, but at least IA, WI, and PSU will make us break a sweat for it. Thanks.;)

NorCal,

I'm just wondering - will you accept my wager on the number of Big 10 teams in the Top 10 preseason poll? You believe there will be four - I believe there will be "less than four".

And, for Hawks - good luck to your Hawkeyes tonight. A win against the Rambling Wreck would be a great way for the conference to end it's bowl season.

i agree that these 4 teams will be high in their rankings ,but dominate, we shall see i would be willing to bet bythe end of week 7 we will only have one team in the top 10 and maybe another in the top 15, , wisky might be and osu will be but lets be real the only team that might give osu trouble next season is wisky and you play at camp randle, pre season means what , not much inless your in the top 5

No, that bet is too speculative. Especially with the anti-Big Ten bias out there.

But I will bet you this...Buckeyes make top five, and Wolverines don't even crack the top 25. Bet?

The SEC has "run it's course"? Errr...tune in Thursday night, I believe that an SEC team is playing in the NC game for the 4th year in a row, having won the previous 3 (2 at the expense of tUOS).

Don't take this the wrong way, but you are absolutely and completely devoid of logic.

The SEC has 5 winners with one to go in the NC... on a down year. Explain to me how they have run their course?

Duhhhhh, try reading a little more carefully. The post says 2010 preseason rankings. Who will have more teams ranked in the top ten?

Anything else I can help you with?:)

The top of the SEC is still king untill somebody knocks them off. Alabama should win the NC on Thursday and should be (unless a ton of kids leave) the pre-season #1 going into next season. I happen to think Ohio State has a legit shot at pre-season #2 - IMO. Call me crazy but I think Ohio State matches up better with Alabama then they do with a lot of teams.

Next year there will be a lot of questions nationally. Texas, Oklahoma and Florida all lose their leaders / QB's - and bringing in a new QB and expecting the same results is pot luck at best. Miami lost it's #1 RB already, USC is losing more players - just to name a few.

2010 should be the year you see Ohio State, Alabama, Boise State, Oregon and a few others compete for the NC - while teams like Nebraska, GT, Iowa, TCU, Oklahoma State and a few others could crash into the party with strong teams coming back. I really feel some of the traditional powers like Florida, Texas, Oklahoma and USC could have a bit of a down year - in comparison to their resent sucess. They will not suck by any means - but it could be the year many of them are replaced as champions of their conference.

In all I'm excited for 2010 - it could be the most wide open season ever.

NorCal,

I'm confused - earlier you posted that there should be four Big Ten teams in the 2010 pre-season poll. Then, when challenged, you modify your thinking...

Perhaps you'd like to establish a wager about this - the state of Ohio has more Buckeye fans than Michigan fans?

Again, your willingness (or more accurately unwillingness) to stand behind any one of the numerous statements you make demonstrates the intelligence you place in your posts and the conviction you have in the arguments you make.

I will stand behind the one about OSU top five, and UM below 25. Preseason rankings? What do you say, AMAZINBLUESUX?;)

Thats going way out on a limb...

Is your mouth still writing checks you can't cash? Apparently because you backed way off your claims of 4 B10 teams in the preseason top 10.

Well shame on me for being a Big Ten homer!

Too bad I can't run my mouth about Michigan being one of those probable top ten teams. If they were I would say it. But they're not. Year three and counting of the Rodriguez regime. I say you guys make it to .500 this year. No better. And Brandon shows RR the door.

It always comes back to dissing on UM when you're outed and have nothing else to say. Stand by your claim or shut up. I think we all can agree we like the B10 but we're not going around making baseless claims that 4 B10 teams will be ranked top 10 preseason. 4 in the top 20 would be reasonable but not top 10.
