I'm taking the 'Horns in a nail biter...their defense keeps it close and McCoy pulls off the upset.

I say texas wins 27 -20 and the big mac wins another crown and ends the sec streak. They have a class team and program and i cant stand nick the prick saban.

It is popular now to predict an Alabama victory.

However...Texas has the better quarterback, equal talent, similar defense, and they are the underdog (usually a plus in this game). Can they get any kind of a running game?

I look for the Longhorn's to win in a low scoring game.

Watch the Texas vs Nebraska game this year (Big 12 Championship) - then tell me who you pick. I think they sacked McCoy 9 times and chased him around a bunch of other times. The whole game will be decided by the Texas offensive line. If McCoy can set up and throw without being knocked around - Texas has a shot.

With that being said I think that Alabama's defense and running game is to much. The game will be won by the lines and Alabama has the edge on both sides. The first quarter will be a feeling out stage with either team wanting to make a mistake - then it will become a regular game. My guess is 26-17 Tide.

After the game Saban cracks a small smile - then goes back to being sad.

Alabama all the way. I don't know how some of you guys think Texas will win after seeing what Alabama did to Florida. Those were the two best teams.

Lee Corso just picked Texas. Alabama will now win for sure.

Is Saban out of his mind? On the opening drive he fakes the punt on fourth down at his own 20 and misses the pass. Now Texas has the momentum.

Texas is winning 6-0. But McCoy is out of the game. I can't see Texas winning without McCoy. It's just a matter of time before the Michigan boy (Mark Ingram) takes charge.

Ingram just scored. Alabama 7-6. Just give the ball to Ingram and this game is over.

Richardson just ran it in. The hole was so big that anyone could have run through that. Alabama14-6. This game is over.

It has to make Sparty ill that Ingram got stolen away like that - he should have been a slam-dunk for MSU. Saban and his snake oil and wizard hat....

Texas almost scored on a pass by freshman qb Gilbert. The next play he threw an interception. I bet he only knows half the playbook.

Ya. That was right around the time when the transition was taking place between John L. Smith and Dantonio. Ingram probably figured he didn't want to waste his talent at a BS school like MSU.

Didn't Ingram play around where you were from Michigan Man? Didn't you say you went to school in Flint?

Mark Ingram Sr. is older than I am (was in the NFL by the time I went to UM), and went to a city school in Flint, a school where this white boy would most certainly have gotten his ass kicked if he had the misfortune to go there...

Alabama is now up 24-6 at halftime. Seeing this freshman Gilbert play against Alabama is like watching a goldfish in a tank with piranhas that haven't eaten in three days.

Gilbert seems to have settled down and is playing better. He threw a td pass to Shipley. Alabama 24-13.

Ingram has calf cramps and hasn't been playing and it's showing on Alabama's offense.

OMG! Gilbert is looking great. Gilbert to Shipley. Then Gilbert throws a bullet for the 2 point conversion. Alabama 24-21.

Gilbert looks like he's going to be a great qb for Texas in the future.

Huge turnover for Alabama. They sack Gilbert from behind and Gilbert fumbles on his own 3 yardline. Alabama ball on Texas 3 yardline.

TD Ingram. He's definitely the real deal. Alabama31-21. Two minutes left in the game.

Gilbert throws the interception then Alabama runs it in for another td. Final score Alabama 37-21.

Did any of you wonder why the Texas DB - or whoever covered the receiver on the fake punt - actually intercepted the ball? If he had just batted it down, Texas would have picked up 15 yards in that change of possession and, as a result, might have scored a TD on that first possession instead of settling for a FG.

Defensive players don't always play smart. When the ball comes near them the only thing they think is getting it not what the smarter action would be.
