Should you pay extra for 3-d glasses to watch this movie?

goblue- Avatar is a good movie. It's a little over two and a half hours but it really doesn't feel like it until the very end. It doesn't really drag at any point in the movie. The biggest complaint that I've heard is that it doesn't really have an original story. But James Cameron wrote it like 10 years ago so if you really think about it...

And the extra money isn't for the 3-D glasses, it's for the actual 3-D itself. It costs a lot more to play those kinds of movies because you need a special screen and some modifications to the actual projector. I manage a theatre, so I'd know! It's really worth seeing it in 3-D though and I'm not really a hiuge 3-D fan.
