Did anyone catch that last night during the Fiesta Bowl?...A guy in all Michigan gear clapping and pumping his fist in the stands...surrounded by ohio st fans...not sure how I feel about that...on one hand I want the Big10 to do well especially in bowl games...but do I really want osu to be the program doing well and beating these other national powers? Im not sure...I think Im currently happier that Texas won...

I saw that too. it is one thing to pull for OSU but to dress in all Michigan gear and do it was weird.

At this point I think it is safe to assume that he was actually an OSU fan. After their bowl record, a OSU fan will dress up as anything else just to avoid embarrassment.

So far osu beating National Powers hasn't been an issue.....

I have this argument with a friend of mine. We both pull for the Big Ten and want the conference to do well in the bowls games. However I have an extremely hard time ever pulling for oSU and do not pull for them in BCS games ever.

Either way you end up hearing from someone. If oSU wins then you end up hearing from the most obnoxious fan base on the planet. If oSU get's blasted then you end up hearing from everyone else ripping on the Big Ten & how weak it is. So it is a catch 22.

Last nights game probably worked out well... a close lose keeps oSU fans humbled by yet another loss on a big stage but close enough where the Big Ten would not take a big hit for the performance in that one game (not the entire bowl season).

I have tried before, but there is not a bone in my body that will let me ever root for OSU in any sport, escpecially football.

It's one thing to hope the Big 10 does well and kind of hope OSU wins. But it is another thing to cheer for them. I did not care if they won or lost but I would never ever cheer for them.

How could anything be more embarrassing than dressing up as a Michigan fan???

Our bowl record??? Have you taken a look at Michigan's bowl record recently??? Even your best coach "Bo" was only 5-12 in bowls!!!!!?????? Get real.

Plus1 .its all down hill for your great program and your super hero tressel, facts lost his last 4 huge games , fact lost 3 bcs games in a row .fact lost his last 5 games against top 10 teams , and after usc hands you your asss next season ,then you can make that 6 , so dont toot your horn boy because your boy tressel is on the decline and your program needs alot of work , i live in c/bus and have many osu fans,as friends and guess what their mentality was for this game you just lost , and you may as well include about 95 percent of the other buckeye fans , they all were saying atleast we didnt get blown out , now thats a far cry from ,that half assss attitude most buckeyes have had over the years when you thought you were so good. This is what your fan base has stooped to, how pathetic is that,, in tressel we trust alright, i guess that doesnt apply anymore does it..

I'm beginnig to think most programs, let along tUO$, couldn't hang with USC. I have no idea how they manage to lose to stanford and O.State over the last two years, but any other big-time program they have played has been mercilessly shellacked, irrespective of conference. The Big Ten is a prime-time victim most years due to the Rose Bowl, but tUOS this year, SEC winning Arkansas a year or two back (lost 50-14 or something?), Oklahoma a few years ago in an NC game; they have pretty much killed everyone. The only big games they have lost recently would be Oregon last year and Texas in the NC game (and we all know how ridiculously good those teams was) . Even ND doesn't challenge them anymore. Is there an end in sight?

BBB,

I think that if Sanchez bolts to the NFL, OSU will have some struggles on O next season - but, they'll be primed by mid-season. I believe USC lost their OC to Washington, and that may present some challenges, but they're awfully deep with talent - and I'm pretty sure they'll be able to find another very qualifies OC to exploit their talent.

The only thing that I think can really put a halt on USC is the NCAA - I'm wondering if they are EVER going to do anything about Reggie Bush.

I agree, but like you said, no matter how young, they always mature by mid-season. Whats impressive is how plain their offense really is; typical pro-style, no gimmicks, no QBs running around, no RBs throwing passes, no OL catching passes. I don't think they even have slot-sized receivers. USC is really as close as you'll get to an NFL team at this level, with a vanilla scheme and ridiculous athletes.

I'll stop drooling now, but lets see; if USC 2008/09 plays the Detroit Lions, who wins ;)?

It looked to me like he was being held hostage by Buckeye Jihadists. He escaped captivity when the group started popping Prozac to help curve their depression caused by their annual bowl "chokedown".

USC is an absolute juggernaut, I think only three things would stop the roll they are on.
1) Carroll leaves for the NFL
2) NCAA sanctions
3) UCLA starts tapping into the southern cal talent pool to water down USC

As much as I hate it, unlike oSU of late they show up for big games. It took a out of this world Vince Young performance to edge them in the NC game a few years ago. They just have that 1 let down against an inferior opp each year is the only thing keeping them from winning more NC's.

They have the been the definition of reloading each & every year under Carroll.
