For the first time since 1975 Michigan went into East Lansing and swept the Spartans. Friday night was utter domination and Saturday was a fight that Michigan refused to lose. For all the harships that the Michigan Hockey team has gone through this season, this series was a great moment. Without their captain and without their starting goalie, Michigan gave every fan who has suffered through the losing something to cheer about. Now Michigan still has a tough road ahead to make the tournament but hopefully this weekends games are an indication that the team takes it very personally not being considered for a tournament bid. God I love Michigan sports, good or bad!

Great weekend series for Michigan. It is still going to be tough to get in, but they have a chance. Now they just have to win two more.

This is it boys! After defeating the Redhawks by a score of 5-2 Michigan will face Northern Michigan for both a CCHA championhsip and a shot at the tournament. It was an awesome game, Hunwick stood on his head tonight and made every play that he had to make. Michigans offense put on a clinic in the second period, that 4 on 1 goal was absolutely gorgeous. Michigan is the hot team right now and its hard to imagine that Northern Michigan can stop Michigan from winning. That means Michigan is in the tourney for the 21st year in a row, considering what they had to do to get there that is no simple feat.

No team is hotter right now than UM! After being basically dead in the water for the NCAA tourney, they sweep MSU, totally dismantle Miami, the #2 team in the country, win the CCHA, and qualify for the postseason! They have momentum, I hope they can keep rolling
