On paper this game should provide some offensive fireworks though these types of games usually end up one sided. I think both offenses are top rate but I think the defense of Florida makes the difference in the game 42-28.

Okie going down 48-28.

35-31 final score, either way...

Florida gets it done b/c of their D 34-21 (need this score or a total close to 55 to win a pool)

to be honest with you i would rather see old reruns of fla destroying ohio state then this years game, i was at a ohio state party watching that game , it was funny as hell, but this years game should be good , atleast their will be 2 teams playing in the championship this year, unlike that last 2 when fla ,and lsu played solo.., oh thats right osu played in them.. that explains everything

Florida in a rout. Much like Ohio State (untill Monday), Oklahoma has not showed up for their last 4 or so bowl games. Then to top it off a Sooner DB trashed Tebow to the media - BAD MOVE. You don't tug on Supermans cape - or fire him up (move then he will be already). If Florida scores first or jumps out big early - it's going to get ugly. Tebow and Meyer are not wired to win close games. If they see the chance to put you away they will. Harvin is also healthy which spells trouble.

You don't tug on Supermans cape

Is that an obscure Jim Croce reference nut?

You don't tug on superman's cape
You don't spit into the wind
You don't pull the mask off that old lone ranger
And you don't mess around with TIM (tebow)

I think Florida wins, D is better than Okl plus I think the Big 12 was a littlel wide open and untested this season....which means the SEC will have three in a row....we will have to listen to all that superiority talk...

Oklahoma by a bunch.

I really don't care who wins. If I had to pick, I'd say Florida... The Big 12 hasn't look overly impressive this post season, but - the SEC hasn't looked that impressive either.

Well, I'm so nervous this morning I can't keep my thoughts straight. I hope most of you are right...picking FLA. My gut feeling is that OKL won't blow FLA out, but FLA could blow OKL out. Of course, that sounds a lot like OSU before they went up against FLA 2 years ago. I'll admit that I'm a little uneasy today; you have to respect a team that scored 60+ in 5 straight games. I'm a little relieved that the Big12 hasn't look great so far this bowl season, but it doesn't mean OKL isn't great or highly motivated. I guess I'll go 38-24 FLA. I personally hope it's an awful bowl game; I become a bundle of nerves when it's close. I guess you could say that I don't care to see an instant classic.

Not exactly on topic but an interesting stat:
Around 2004, before national championships, the University of Florida pulled in about $2.5 million in merchandise royalties. After the championships in basketball and football, UF now makes $5.9 million in royalties.
I believe when OSU was in the championship game last year, their royalties also peaked near $5.7 million. UM is still among the top in royalties.
$6.2 million was collected by the Wolverines in 1993-94, the highest take ever among the 200 schools represented by the Collegiate Licensing Co. Even with all of its licensing success in recent years, Florida is ranked No. 3 based on gross royalties, behind the University of Michigan and the University of Texas.

Gator,

I understand why you'll be nervous - it's that way for any fan when their team's in the arena, and the game's not only worth a lot, but could also go either way.

I think that Oklahoma hasn't faced a D as strong as Florida's, and that the overall lack of D in the Big 12 goes two ways - one of those is that scoring is a lot easier. If you look at the other Big 12 bowl games, I don't think that any of the offenses looked "unstoppable" - and the points (or lack thereof) they put on the board as well as the points they gave up - was indicative of the relative strength of the conference.

I was thinking the Big 12 was exceptionally strong this year, the difference was this - their OOC schedule. What was the biggest OOC game for the conference - Illinois vs. Missouri?

So, Gator, I know you'll be nervous - I think you'll be able to relax a bit by halftime...

If Florida can handle the no-huddle better then Ohio State did (Oklahoma is better at it then Texas) then they will win in a landslide. We will see how Bradford plays when he is getting hit. I'm guessing he is not going to like it. Tebow is going to be a monster on the field tonight.

What? osu ran an advanced verison of Lloyd ball, 6-3 at halftime.....and you're calling it a no-huddle. That's a good one.

Jackass - did you watch the game. Texas won it by going to the no huddle in the third quarter and OSU could not handle it. I did not say Ohio State was running the no huddle. Retard

Apparently, the Michigan Wolverines are the only team in America that can beat UF in a bowl. GO BLUE! The best is yet to come.

Seriously, watching that Florida secondary, it is pretty impressive how Henne/Mario/Arrington raped em last year.

I am a Michigan fan first, Florida fan second. I figure I have to have a favorite SEC team since they always win the national championship.. I just love the way florida plays. I LOVE Tim Tebow. Nobody plays like him. You can call him an idiot but nobody has passion like he does. He is a true leader.

No one is calling him an idiot, but I'd like him more if the commentators weren't sucking him off at every game.

That could be the reason why his nickname is Tim Tebag!
