Just wanted to let everyone know I was passing through AA this weekend coming back from a funeral and the stadium looks fantastic. The first time I brought my then girlfriend, now wife to a Michigan game she walked up to the stadium and said this is it?? To her credit once she stepped in she obviously got what the hype was about ( or she probably won't have become my wife:)). The new upgrades make that WOW statement from the outside now too. I wish I would have had a camera but like I said it was kind of an impromptu trip. I just hope that the team on the field lives up to the fantastic new facade.

One reasonI cant wait for the spring game is so that I can get a look at the construction on the stadium. It will be interesting to see the progress on the former press box area and maybe even get a glimpse of the inside of one of those suites.

This is going to sound really dumb, but one of the things I have always loved about the Big House is that your first impression is "WTF is this???"...and then you step through the tunnel. I will never forget the first time I walked into that stadium...unreal. But from the outside, it has always looked like a nice HS stadium. Always a cool experience.

I love the new digs, but I will miss that reaction.

I drove by the Big House last spring - and the impression I had was "Wow - this is really looking impressive. I agree with Butler that the "old impression" when you walked through the tunnel was "oh, my god" - and, now - that feeling will arise on the walk up to the Stadium.

I hope that the ND game next fall sets up a precedent to have lights (tastefully) installed above the east and west boxes - ideally, hidden behind some sort of a screen and then have the screen withdrawn for night games. It would be wonderful to have one night game a year - something in September or early October.

I can't wait to see the finished product. It looked amazing when I was up there for the WMU game. Anyone know what the official capacity will be now?
