ESPN's at it again. My father-in-law is an Arkansas Razorback fan and sent me this to rub it in about Mallett. I thought I'd post it on here to get some Northern, Big 10 thoughts on this SEC homer, University of Georgia grad, scmuck...Schlabach's article. What do you think of #18?

18. Michigan will open the 2009 season with a loss (to Western Michigan)
The Wolverines won't be much better in their second season under coach Rich Rodriguez, who still won't have the right personnel to run his spread offense. For the third straight season, Michigan will start its schedule with a stunning loss in the not-so-Big House, falling to Western Michigan.

Gazing into the crystal ball for 2009:

The crystal ball reports that sometime soon Mark Schlabach will not ingest a combo of crack-alcohol when writing his articles.

Schlaback could go "ofer 25" in his predictions...

USC - "not" a top 10 team, I don't think so.

ND - "returning to prominence", I don't think so.

Ferentz - new coach for the Cleveland Browns, I don't think so.

The list goes on... and on...

he is already calling for Florida to win back to back national championships...they haven't even won it this year yet. This guy's opinion is no more right than your buddy's down the street...ESPN and other sports analysts have the easiest job ever and are pretty much as full of shit as anyone else with an opinion on Sports....I could get on there and say that Michigan is bad, Florida is good, Oklahoma might not be undefeated next year, and so on and so forth. If there is anyone who is more over-payed than professional athletes, it's the sports analysts on ESPN...it makes me sick.

chances are pretty good he is half right and half wrong, do you think his crystal ball has hair on it because things look at little fuzzy to me , and you are correct in saying we all have balls and some work better then others

This little tidbit is my favorite...

The Fighting Irish showed how explosive they can be in their 49-21 victory over Hawaii in the Sheraton Hawaii Bowl.

Ha ha ha ha ha...that's rich!!!

I think a 7-5 or 8-4 record would be feasable. Anything more than that and your "living on a prayer" as Bon Jovi would say.
