According to sources inside the university, 60,000 tickets ave already been sold to season ticket holders and sales of individual tickets opened this morning, by 8pm another 10,000 tickets had been sold. So far 70,000 tickets have been sold and its still 7 months before gametime. I think its safe to assume that there will be 100,000 in attendance for this game, purely epic.

This is gonna be awesome! I've already purchased my tickets and according to the website 95 000 tickets have already been sold
so if you want to go I would recommend buying tickets NOW and the current outdoor hockey record is like 75 000 so we are going
to beat it!
Canadian+Michigan hockey+Big house= AMAZING!

Well boys, we have 3 days to go until history is made and the Michigan Hockey team suits up in front of 109,000 screaming fans. It is going to be cold but its going to be spectacular. I cant wait to be a part of this, to experience something as epic as this. We will be tailgating as usual at Mr. Stadium if anyone wants to stop by. We will have a fire going, some hot cocoa, and some grub. I am getting more and more excited as the days go by.

David Brandon posted a message on mgoblue.com detailing some of what is going to be going on this weekend. As we know, lost of fireworks, also a flyover of a stealth bomber(!!!).
Everyone is focused on making sure we have everything in place for Saturday. From the pregame activities with Lawrence Kasdan, the U-M grad who, along with Barbara Benedek, who wrote the movie "The Big Chill," to a flyover by the United States' Air Force stealth bomber, to the special videos, fireworks and the many other presentations, I sometimes have to remind myself that the focus of this event is the hockey game itself.

A Wall Street Journal article about college hockey and about the Big Chill. Good read, cant wait for a B10 hockey conference.

Post photos!!! Man I wish I was going.

Ill see what I can do. I plan to take a ton of pics so hopefully I have a few good ones to post. As excited as I am to actually be going, I am going to miss the chance to see what it looks like on the outside. I think that the camera shots will give tv viewers a much more unique look then if you were in the stadium. Man I cant wait!

I'll be there and I will snap pics as well, but someone has to tell me how to upload them without hosting them at another website. Deal?

amazing game today. Ann Arbor was perfect, the stadium looked awesome with a big sheet of ice in the middle of it, the team played flawless. The first goal that was scored was such an exhilirating moment, the crowd went wild and it felt so much like a typical football Saturday. John Merrill, who scored the goal, had this to say afterwards
I… I blacked out. I don’t know. Just so much excitement. Just so overwhelmed. It’s crazy.

This was such an amazing piece of history to be a witness to. I loved every minute of it and I hope so much that Michigan gets the chance to do this again in the future. I have some pics to post, I will get to that before I go to bed but I want to read all the rest of the posts that I missed from yesterday first. It will be worth the wait.

The flyover was amazing, I mean I know that a stealth bomber is by definition-Slealthy- but it still surprised me how quite it was.

exactly 113,411 folks crammed into Michigan Stadium on Saturday to watch the Wolverines' 5-0 rout of Michigan State. Not only is that the largest crowd for a hockey game, but it's also the most people to ever witness any NCAA event.

So a Hockey world record, an NCAA record, a Michigan Stadium record, and an experience that may never be witnessed ever again. Im so glad I got to be a part of it.

Those are some seriously kick ass pictures---The Bighouse looks great at night.

I have to make my way up there next year. Wow, must've been a great experience.

That would be cool to be there. We are planning to go to Pittsburgh this year and see the Winter Classic but there isnt anywhere near that many people in the stadium.

Im not at all a hockey fan - but it looked like an AWESOME event. I don't see that record being broken any time soon - if ever.

Here's the firework show, a few salutes in there would've ended it nicely though:

It would've definitely been better in person, but they do try and time the fireworks with the music.

Seeing all these videos and going to the Wisconsin game this year something is up at the Big House. I think after all these years the golf claps are going away and it seems like real fans as opposed to the blue hairs are taking over.
