Being an "outsider" or not being a Michigan Man has nothing to do with my dislike for DikkRod. I don't like him because he's a Bush League coach. He lies, he cheats, he is dishonest, and he thinks he is some great coach, as do some in our fan base. The "chuck-and-duck" offense will not work in the Big Ten. I was hoping you'd continue your hiatus from the board. But, let me offer one simple point - there was a coach that I knew who believed in speed - defensive lineman who were quick - very quick. The men he recruited were smaller than the players they lined up against - these young men worked out - stayed quick and got stronger. So, who was this coach who felt being "smaller, faster, and quicker" was a sound defensive strategy - it was Bo Schembechler.

Regarding your other points - I'm not going to bother replying. You either support The University and teams that represent it - or you don't. If you fail to see RR's character in how he and the team spend time at Mott's - or look at the Mealer's - or any of several dozen other things - then it is YOU who fail to give the man a chance. I'm not happy with the record of the team the past two seasons - but, I also realize what it takes to build a team - in this case, rebuild a program.

As for the team being weak, you apparently never saw the transformation of Brandon Graham who went from being a fat DL to a monster DL and he credited the current staff for making him into it. What has RR ever done? Gosh, Martin just pulled him off the street as the first warm body he could find. Again you are a buffoon. What program has he destroyed? Every program he has been at has enjoyed unparalleled success under his direction. WVU for instance has been to more bowls since he became a coach there then it ever was in its entire history.

When he was hired he was one of the most sought after coaches in the country. I cannot speak for everyone else but as for me I place my faith in whomever the university and AD hire as the coach of the program I support. In this instance the program is being rebuilt from the ground up so some patience is required. The program was rebuilt because the administration, with support from a large % of fans, decided it was time for a change and that UM needed to be able to compete with the top national programs which we clearly were not capable of. Will RR get us there? I hope so but I cannot guarantee he will. I am however, like Brandon, willing to give him the time needed to get UM there. How much time? One full recruiting season which starts with last years recruits so 5 years is what I'm willing to see......unless the team makes no progress this year.

Now RTB, if you want to debate the merits of RR or the spread offense go ahead and lets do it. But try to put some facts out there rather than your blustering charges. I cannot find one fact in the entire post you made.
