Staring at a 14-0 deficit in the middle of the third, the University of Michigan baseball team exploded for 15 runs on 17 hits, including a walk-off home run by senior first baseman Mike Dufek (Scottsdale, Ariz./Desert Mountain) in the bottom of the 10th, to grab a 15-14 comeback victory over Northwestern on Sunday afternoon (May 16) at the Wilpon Baseball Complex, home of historic Ray Fisher Stadium.

This is awesome for a couple reasons. First of all a 14-run come from behind win is nothing to sneaze at, secondly this win is a big step toward claiming a B10 title, last but not least Mike Dufek should ring a few bells with anyone who knows Michigan football history, he is just another in a long line of Dufeks who have put their mark on Michigan athletics, a family that has epitomized excellence for centuries. Just another awesome Michigan sports story that I felt had to be shared.
