If this pans out as reported, conference realignment goes nuclear. I can't wait to see if Texas and the rest of the Big 12 South will follow through on their bluff to bolt to the PAC-10.

I just don't see the Big 10 stopping at 12 teams with Nebraska being the 12th team. Since we appear to be trying to force Notre Dame's hand into joining the Big 10 by blowing up the landscape, we must have plans to go to 14 or 16 schools. That must mean we raid the Big East or ACC next. Rutgers, Maryland, Virginia, Georgia Tech, Syracuse could all be in the mix. And, if the PAC 10 goes to 16, I think the Big 10 will go to 16 members too. I still think Missouri has a shot, but the way they have shamelessly begged for an invitation could leave them on the outs. I think Dennis Dodd referred to Missouri's actions as being like a prostitute out on the street corner hiking up their skirt for the Big Ten.

Welcome to the Big Ten, Huskers!

Don't count out Texas and ATM just yet.

I second that...Nebraska is a great program just about back to their glory days. They will be a force to be reckoned with in the conference year in and year out, plus they have a former Buckeye coaching them. And a great geographic fit too. Doesn't get any better. Now let's bag Notre Dame, Pittsburgh, Missouri, and....??????????

Nebraska is a good fit - and, I think the other programs will most likely be - Pitt, Syracuse, and ND - I think Missouri's out of the running, and I don't know if Rutgers would be a candidate - they are certainly a possibility.

All I know is that I am really anxious to get to Friday so I can find out for sure whether the B12 is going to stay alive or not? I am really scpetical about this whole thing, I dont see Nebraska jumping to the B10 just yet, so I dont expect an earth shattering announcment tomorrow because of it. But I am really, really curious to see if I am right or wrong.

I can't wait to see who all joins. But the list of suspects just seems to grow.

Rumored teams:

Nebraska
Missouri
Rutgers
Syracuse
Notre Dame
Maryland
Texas
Texas Tech
Kansas
Pitt
Georgia Tech
Iowa State
Virginia

The only school that I think really has no shot at an invite is Missouri if nothing else just because they are not AAU members. If they are seeking after it that might be another story though.
